Yeah, don't rush things.
I normally spend like 2 months watching youtube reviews and looking at sample images before i decide which camera i'm going after :D
Oh - and don't get too hung up on lenses. They are really more like a hobby for me :D
You can get perfectly fine results with the kit lenses (the ones that come with the camera)
It just happens to be harder. Lot's of people don't even buy additional lenses.
There are tons of vid's on youtube that explain the advantages of prime lenses over Kit lenses and if it is worth it for you to buy one. But as i said - as a starter you'll be perfectly fine with what you get out of the box.
Just look around on ebay a little, People often sell their Camera as a set with one to three or even more lenses, and quite often really cheap (for what you get). If you look carefully you should be able to get a nice set to start out with.
