You don't have the context my friend. Coelho's bs is meaningless. There's actually a website you can feed with seemingly profound words and get Coelho-like sentences as output. What i quoted is beautiful both in form and content. As for the bold part, you're better than that.

Borges is my favorite author exactly because of his way of storytelling, so no worries, he is my Del Piero, I love everything he's written like I love everything about Ale :D Same here, last book I read was Pulp (Bukowski), really enjoyed it :D

Have started reading High Rise of J. G. Ballard. Quite entertaining so far.

Cosmicomics. Great book, great stories. Humorous and simple just like many other Calvino's works.

I find his books overly pretentious. He pretends that he is teaching people simple tips about life, love, everything in the simplest ways and with the most catching lines and that's why many love to quote them all the time but his books, IMO, are too superficial actually.
