Check out Forever Peace. Follows similar themes. His writing improved tremendously as well. Have a bunch of books incoming this Monday - Philip Kerr's 'The One From The Other', 'A Quiet Flame', 'If The Dead Rise Not' and 'Field Gray.' Really liking these "noir" crime mysteries lately.

Have people given up books? 'Spook Country' by William Gibson at moment for me.

Got a package from Amazon today. 'See No Evil: The True Story of a Ground Soldier in the CIA's War on Terrorism' by Robert Baer and 'Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid' by Douglas Hofstadter (per Martin's 'best of' list). Will start on Baer's first, I think.

Been somewhat interested in a Kindle for a while now but haven't bothered as they don't offer the new Fire one internationally. Can't see it ever replacing the feel of an actual book in my hands though. Too old too change, probably.

Drunkenness provides some interesting insight while reading. A lot of other things as well.

What is? The Millennium trilogy? As I was reading them, I didn't really love the author's style of writing (a lot of bizarre stuff included like a furniture list from Ikea, constant descriptions of sandwiches) or the content at times, especially in the second and third books, what with the...

I've been considering buying one of these things for quite some time. Unfortunately, all the good ones aren't sold outside of the US (that I know of). Started Crime and Punishment tonight as well. Also Das Kapital, just so I can say I've read it, lol.

I read it in English. Perhaps in a few years, when I'm actually up for a reread, I'll try it in French... Then again, I've never been fond of reading novels in that language. Cool. I'll order Crime and Punishment from Amazon tomorrow.
