As a young player, why would you renew? They'll sell you asap to get that all important plusvalenza anyway. You're much better off with an expiring contract: more possible clubs to sign for and more money in your own pocket.

I'll spell it out for you: We sell (potentially) useful homegrown young players for small fees & buy useless players for high(er) fees and wages. If you think that's a solid, sustainable business, good for you. I don't think it is.
