Andrea #Cambiaso to GdS: “I found #Spalletti very different to when he was at la Nazionale. #Juventus is also there for the Scudetto. I'm a 3D player like #Calafiori. #Vlahovic is a driving force: he plays for the team and with the team. When #Zhegrova runs at you he is lethal…”. #Juve

some here didnt want to accept 50m for this guy, how ffunny this sounds now
before his injury and the city rumors, he played like a gem. for 50m he looked like a bargain and knowing how well the club spends the money, it looked like the reasonable choice to keep him

a complete disaster for most of the time since last january. one of the biggest drop in form in recent years

Some players are always better than others at changing positions more often than others and Cambiaso is definitely one of them.

But even for a player like Cambiaso, Spalletti should perhaps consider using him in a more permanent spot, as these positional changes lately seem to be affecting his performance in a negative way.

I have taken a look at Cambiaso's positions this season:

1: Parma - LM
2: Dortmund - LM
3: Verona - LM
4: Atalanta - LM
5: Villarreal - RM
6: Milan - LM
7: Como - LM
8: Real Madrid - LM
9: Lazio - LM
Tudor out, Spalletti in
10: Udinese - RM
11: Cremonese - RM
12: Sporting - LM
13: Torino - LM
14: Fiorentina - RM
15: Bodø Glimt - LM
16: Cagliari - LM
17: Udinese - RM
18: Napoli - LM

As you can see, Cambiaso has changed positions 9 times from match to match in the 18 matches he has participated in.

11 matches as LM, 5 matches as RM and 1 match as a LB, - 8 times has he shifted from left to right or right to left.

I am not saying that this is the only reason to why we have seen Cambiaso struggle doing this season, but maybe it also doesn’t help him finding consistency, if he has to change position this much ⚫️⚪️
