This guy seems mediocre as fuck.

Why are we after him? Because our sporting director signed him for Genoa?
At one time, he was like an up-and-comer and had some hype around him. He's definitely "settled" into being more of a middle of the road potential.

I wonder if we are looking at him, thinking he might become actually a decent player beyond the midtable potential he has looked for awhile now.

He wasn't great at Coventry on loan. Very physical, maybe top 1% player in the league in that respect. Versatile. Mediocre defender, very unrefined technically. The latter two could have changed since being in Italy but I doubt he's going to be a star.

It is highly unlikely he is ever a star but I do know he was so raw, technically and tactically, that I wonder if we think we can "solve" that a bit. It's the biggest hole in his game and development. Is this a buy-low and get value move? Maybe.

"On NortonCuffy, there are several clubs interested in him: Everton in the past, Juventus with some recent inquiries, but there must be internal unanimity, which at the moment is not there, along with the idea of a loan with option to buy, a formula that does not convince Genoa, that are oriented towards an obligation to buy or a permanent deal, and now #Inter who has aggressively entered the race, speaking to the Ligurian club for a possible permanent acquisition."
