I want them to lose fans. Literally, lose millions and millions of fans, both existing and potential.
You can already see it happening: some of my Milanista and Interista friends whom I used to have countless fights with, all lost interest  Now they just get sad whenever football topic comes up.

i'm still saying that we won't be able to match those 5-600m yearly income figures of the likes of real and barcelona without a strong league. i hope we win the league forever, and i'll still laugh on roma when they choke in europe, but let's not forget we also need a healthy league to be attractive for fake fans and greedy class players. fuck modern football, but that's the path to follow.
:agree: Our ceiling is only as high as the league allows it to be. It's not complicated and this discussion has been had countless times on this forum.

People that were for the coefficient but are not anymore are fickle. Who cares about the 4th spot? the important thing is the result of the league in Europe to get a better appeal, attract more quality players and get a better league.

If it was somehow possible to get that without the 4th spot I'd take that right away.

The UEFA Europa League winners will automatically qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stage (currently they can potentially take part in a play-off round).
The top four clubs from the four top-ranked national associations will now qualify automatically for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
The full details of the access list for both competitions will be finalised by the end of the year.
A new system for the club coefficients: clubs will be judged on their own records (deletion of the country share for individual club coefficient unless that coefficient is lower than 20% of the association's coefficient).
Historical success in the competition will also be acknowledged in coefficient calculation (points for previous European titles with a weighted system for UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League titles)
Financial distribution to clubs will be increased significantly for both competitions.
A new four-pillar financial distribution system (starting fee, performance in the competition, individual club coefficient and market pool) will see sporting performances better rewarded, while market pool share will decrease.
So 16 out of 32 teams from 4 countries, lol.

I had high hopes of us finally getting to win this, but after analyzing our midfield...

That's not good enough, hopefully Khedira stays fit and asamoah tells Ghana to fuck off. Maybe we'll make it to.the semis
