Batistuta is spot on. He has some pretty good takes.

Out of all the former players today though, Henry’s analysis on the UCL Today show is probably the most brilliant. He goes into incredible details about things.

That show overall, is a really good watch. Probably the best football show out there imo.

Mario Gomez looked like Batistuta and Trez combined in fucking Bundesliga, lolzliga
Same could be said about Ciro Immobile outside of Serie A, he was so bad while playing in the Bundesliga or abroad for that matter. In Serie A he scored for fun.

So in short, your point doesn't make much sense.

Different era, last 10-15 years serie A has been shit, focus has been on attacking and shit players like immobile has flourished. Trezeguet and Batistuta were of a different generation and time. Theres no denying a player could flourish in some leagues while suck in others, weve seen it time and time again. Then theres tactical systems..

Another difference to what ive already previously mentioned between them days and now is facilities.
Nowadays theres cryotherapy, contrast water therapy (CWT) - which provides a 85% recovery boost post-match, GPS tracking, so much science and tech. Modern nutrition, sleep analysis, and load management that its helping keeping players their physicality. All this and more when used efficiently takes a player to thr next level. At Bayern they know exactly how to utilise this. Add this to a generally defensively poor league( or the vast difference between the class amongst teams), tactics, mental training amongst others and you got yourself a top player. It is the sum of all parts.

No wonder matches between these two are referred to as the European Clasico. It's by far the most played fixture in the history of the European Cup/Champions League and the two clubs have both dominated the compitition in different eras, creating a fierce rivalry, also due to almost all games being KO ties. Some of the fouls and tackles in those games have been brutal and would've been punished severely by todays standards.

Their record against each other is totally equal, although Real Madrid have dominated heavily the last 14 years.

Just to demonstrate the gap between the rest of Europe and Italian clubs, Bayern and Kompany can afford several high end laptops with expert users behind them in executive suites. A club like Milan, however, can only afford one guy sitting with a junk device in his lap on the bench. They simply can't compete. It's over for Calcio.

The amount of brilliant individuals is amazing. Another amazing thing is number of players from both teams that can keep or carry the ball forward under opponents pressure.

It's the shame the bracket played out the way it did. This could have been the most entertaining final of all time.

I can't wait for the winner to play Arsenal, have 75% possession, 30 shots, and lose 1-0 after Arsenal scores on a set piece the Raya plays the game of his life.

And they'll we'll get to all hear about how Arsenal is the best team in the world
