- PSG looked like they were in total control. They were in second gear for the entirety of the game. Why? Because their midfield 3 of Vitinha - Joao Neves - Fabian Ruiz completely bossed the midfield. Vitinha is the best metronome in Europe right now. I feel like a broken record saying this. If you win the midfield then you win the match. Real Madrid are figuring this out the hard way by not replacing Modric & Kroos. I really hope our management do something because Locatelli & Thuram are nowhere near good enough. It's why I keep saying fix the midfield, this will automatically improve our attacking & defensive phases.

What do you expect from Portugal at the WC? They have PSGs midfield duo (Vitinha+Joao Neves) and Bruno Fernandes who is in crazy form. Then there is City's Bernardo Silva. A lot of star players in defense too, but the attack leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't think anyone wants to face Portugal. They have so many talented in-form individual stars. Nuno Mendes is probably the best full back in the world right now. But to win a major tournament there has to be a strong team spirit and united group. This is where Portugal are behind IMO and the lack of obvious goalscorers is a big concern. And will Cristiano demand to start?

I also don't rate Roberto Martinez at all (Portugal's manager). I feel like Belgium absolutely wasted their so-called "golden generation" with him.

Results in Nations League are meaningless for me and not worthy of serious analysis.

I have always had a little bit of bias towards arsenal but I hate their fans so i'm conflicted. If psg wins, it means they tie us with trophies won, if arsenal wins, then aftv and their fans will be unbearable for the rest of my life

We shouldn't worry about title count too much. Juve are not winning CL in yours and my lifetime. And PSG winning multiple CL's was inevitable anyway.

Wholeheartedly agree. He looked interesting coming through with Wigan. They were inconsistent, really poor defensively and eventually relegated but fun to watch. I thought he would develop, hone his ideas. That never happened, since then his teams are inconsistent and dull. Look at his Everton, had a good campaign and then fell into pieces. One may argue they did not have the width for playing in Europe but I think it's mostly down to him. He is one of those profiles that I really dislike, because of what he did to Belgium. I was equally upset with the Belgians appointing him in the first place because I, at the time, really was worried that this was going to happen but kind a hopeful he would release the stars they had. In the end, he somehow stayed on for way too long and Portugal is now wasting their talent on him.
