FINO ALLA FINE!

Im not sure as he fouled him several times, simulated a pen and kicked koop. He did get a yellow at somepoint, too little.
Even more shocking is how Torreira went on for a full game plus one half of extra time without getting carded at all despite the multiple blatant fouls he committed… at least one between him and Szallai(maybe both) should have ended up sent off if the rules would’ve been applied equally.

Alright, so while I was fine last night (I prepared myself for the inevitable disappointment after 90 minutes), after sleeping on it I'm shattered and the anger kicks in more than anything. This Galatasaray is a really poor team guys.

Everyone fought yesterday, going down to 10 men and still pushing showed a great sense of character. But it's clear that this team only really plays when its back is against the wall. Even the first half was a little bit underwhelming, knowing we needed 3 goals. I remember against Atletico in 2019, we grabbed them by the throat and didn't let go for the entirety of the game, and I didn't see any of that yesterday in the first half. We even looked better after the red card and that tells means it's not just about quality, but mentality too.

The team deserves praise for yesterday's game but it's absolutely insane that we were in this position in the first place and it could have easily been a lot worse in Istanbul. Too many times has this team shown it can't cope with the pressure and this is becoming a real problem because we could as well be 7 points off the top 4 this weekend, and that would be final nail in the coffin for our CL hopes next year.

The anger is mostly about last week because I even said that the 5th goal was going to cost us. No mature team plays as naively and crumbles as we did in the second half in Istanbul.

There's no need to single out individuals or missed chances, but we desperately need a top class striker. We've wasted 100s of millions over the last two years on absolute filth and neglected that one position that truly changes games. Just look at Osimhen's presence on the pitch and the fear he instills into his opposition. Had we had anything like that we'd be in a much different position today.

Incidentally, football's lawmakers the International Football Association Board (Ifab) are expected to approve VAR reviews for wrongly awarded second yellow cards at its annual general meeting on Saturday. Probably wouldnt apply till next year, and prick of a ref overruled but yeah nice to know arseholes.

Its bad as it is given a yellow then going from second yellow to straight red is ridiculous. Uefas used the grand excuse "Juventus player, No6, using his studs made a strong unfair contact with the opponent's left ankle which clearly endangered the safety of his opponent."

I mean wtf is he or anyone supposed to do in that situation? Land on an alladin carpet and fly away, do a siuuu mid air and land with in a straight line, or fold himself into a neat origami. Because all of this only possible when you're "endangering" someone. That portuguese cunt needs to be suspended.
Honestly if thats the case I'd have all my attackers in a corner routine lay on the floor and let the defenders win the header and hope they land on one of the attackers, that way by the letter of the law according to UEFA that should be a penalty to the attacking side and a red card.

Now thats intentional, excessive and endangered the safety of his opponent.
That's intention, he knows what he's doing there, eyes with intent to hurt, that's a straight red, unlike Kelly who always had eyes on the ball.

Flying studs up challenge to ankle and the ref was looking directly at it
Juve players need to learn how to hit the ground harder and more dramatically, dive, and sell the contact to convince referees to get opponents booked. Acting and exaggerating contact are just part of modern professional football.

3-0 and missed the opportunity for 4-0 with Zhegrova. Too bad since Zhegrova totally deserved to score. Since he came on the team was clicking well especially on the right.
Kelly`s red was a shame since the rules state its a red card but honestly he just jumped for the ball, when he got down due to movements of the players he landed on his ankle.
Thing is I dont even think it should be a foul, more like a bad coincidence for the Gala player.

In any case we played very well with 10 men, the team deserves applause.
ET - 10 men for about 90 minutes.. The team should get applause for not conceding earlier even if the Osimhen goal was really avoidable and the second wouldnt have come should the first got saved.

Over 2 games - I think its safe to say our GK level cost us the tie.

They also all need shooting practice, every single one of them after training need to shoot at cones 18 yards away 100 times
