We raised around 117m in sales and spent 201m for around 85m net spend. Apalling waste.

Presuming we'd sold the arseholes, kept our promising players (plus Kean), signed Conceicao, Carnesecchi, Jeremie Frimpong from Leverkusen and Calafiori for the left side we could have had this team. 5 players who trained with us as youngsters and a young Italian core. Lots of running out wide, hustle in the centre and spark up front.

We should have signed those four players and hired a coach with a modern tactical mind and we'd have been looking good. Maybe you swap out one of the CBs for another CM for more balance but I'd rather make the point that we had plenty of talent here already.
