They are trying really hard to calm the fanbase, which was predictable, but that still doesn’t change the fact he came out last week and said it himself already how it really is, despite the same guy telling us a month prior that this wouldn’t be the case.

Yeah, he literally said probably one extra to be sold. Don't see much of a problem with that when the whole squad is shit.

We're looking at breaking even next season or at the latest the season after the next one, so we'll have to keep one eye on the books again for sure.

That, however, doesn't mean we can't spend.

PS: he did not say that wouldn't be the case. He said we'd have an ambitious market, even without CL. I guess we'll see... But the start doesn't seem to promise much at all....

Point is in our current state i wouldn’t trust a word coming from either him or anyone around the club for that matter, too much talking while doing too little, he literally even contradicts his very own statements from one month to another… i assume it’s all just part of his PR work, but let’s see where we’ll be come September because actions speak louder than words.

But it's not contradicting. Having to sell an extra player doesn't mean the market can't be ambitious...?

Yeah, se'll see in the end but we even won't have to wait that long imo. If we don't get at least 2 starters in before the world cup, we're basically already screwed.

Just go ahead and read his interview and statements in full, or otherwise just look no further than the pics i just shared in my initial post.

Not sure what you are trying to imply but to me and many others it’s pretty clear, and i’ll summarize it for you…

Last week he stated - ‘We might sell a bit more than we planned in order to raise funds and cut costs because of missing out on UCL, or that we’ll need to operate under the current reality of our situation that also includes the Uefa FFP that needs sorting, which via only Europa League revenues will limit us’… whereas the month prior he stated confidently that it wouldn’t matter if we miss out on UCL or not because we have clear plans for the mercatto and are stable enough financially to rebuild just as effectively regardless of where we finish.

Only thing i would agree with you on is that besides all this he also reiterated that they will work to build a stronger Juventus squad for next season, but not without admitting that things are much more tricky now compared to not missing out on UCL., either way as i previously stated actions speak louder than words so we’ll see soon.

Does make it any difference? 40 million euros already spent on Openda transfer looks like we will have a massive overhaul of the squad.

Honestly i couldn’t care less, it’s all a mess anyway, it’s just funny how some are ready to believe and juggle on just about everything that fits their narratives while ignoring the actual absurdity and contradictory statements.

Come on its only Robee who wants to defend the management for the chaos and mess that has been created.

Calm the fanbase? The stadium is full every time after those disastrous 6 years. Who's there to calm down?

How is that relevant to the main point of discussion here? Doesn’t even matter actually, but i’ll bite anyway.

Have you ever considered that maybe besides filling stadiums there might also be times where the fanbase needs reassurances to calm them from shouting and booing in the stadiums or at least from spamming abuse all over social media that is aimed at the team and management? Maybe calm them down from thinking this banter era will never end and when it looks to many as if we’re sinking even deeper?

Do you think clubs don’t try to calm down their own fans from being so negative about the direction their club is going after multiple years of failures? Well guess what, by coming out and telling them that we’ll have a great mercatto and everything will be better might actually keep the environment calmer for a while, even as short lived as that might be…

We here also watch and support, doesn’t mean there isn’t lots of criticism and things to worry about.

Rage on social media? Come on... No one gives a damn about it. My point was that Juventus supporters are very passive. You'd expect something more fierce to show a discontent compared to a packed stadium and some critique on social media.

I guess that is a fair assessment too, i might have slightly misinterpreted the meaning in which you meant it and overreacted a bit… though the social media discontent does have somewhat of an reach when it’s in such massive numbers, even if not nearly as big as what more protests at the stadium or at continassa could have achieved.

Thing is that when i’m talking about them attempting to ‘calm the fanbase’ is because we do see from some of the rumors and even many of Comolli’s contradictory words where he wants to be be honest about the current situation but still finds ways to put a positive spin on it as if missing out on our most vital revenue stream(UCL) is just all part of a grandiose rebuild plan that barely flinches regardless if we finish 4th or 6th… when in fact it’s obvious that the club is just trying to minimize the overall impact of this season’s failures while simultaneously wanting to keep the fanbase’s enthusiasm and interests still connected with what’s going on the mercatto and maybe even trigger some optimism for next season, which i’m not saying it’s not the right thing for them to at least attempt to do, but i’m rather just calling it out for what it is and how i see it.

Ofc there's more limitations with less money... He didn't state it "wouldn't matter as a whole" tho.
He said we'd have an ambitious mercato either way and those are words we should hold him to!

So either he delivers or gtfo here...

As i said, i have very low expectations in regards to who we’ll be able to afford and what type of targets we’ll chase the whole summer after again but i’ve also learned to not take much of what managements say at face value, which is why i’m also waiting too see actual actions and not just big words with little substance before giving him the benefit of the doubt again.

There's literally nothing done / rumoured to think we will actually have an ambitious mercato. In 10 days the world cup starts and pretty much all the good players will have their mind on that instead of the market... And afterwards everyone will have limited time left before the preseason kicks off so everything will probably be more expensive too...

It's why the next days are crucial for me to already complete some moves...
