If he continues to do well during this preseason he’d surely deserve another chance and might just be worth the gamble considering that we don’t seem able to find/afford anyone better atm, at least not in terms of the technical attributes he brings to this squad, whereas the only offers we’d be getting are again loans with options or obligations that almost certainly won’t be triggered anyway.

Then this could obviously change in the scenario in which he does well this preseason and another team actually steps up with an offer to buy him directly, that’s where it might be better to just cut our losses and move on, but reality is that’s very unlikely, they’ll try to only loan him via option when we can just make use of him for ourselves instead.
