I dont think this is just a "Vlahovic is unhappy and wants to leave" situation here....
I don't see why we would want to sell him. He's our biggest asset and he's coming off probably the worst season of his career. 3 years on the contract left. We are not likely to receive an offer that'll allow us to recoup the funds. It just doesn't make sense to me. If we don't have the money to buy SMS, just don't buy him, it's like selling your hair to be able to afford a comb, makes no sense.

no cl means -80m in cl revenue alone, not even considering gate receipts, merch, sponsorship bonuses, etc

and the squad was budgeted with cl in mind

that's the real punishment, not that shitty 800k
right now we have only a handful of players that are real assets. Vlahovic, Chiesa, Bremer are our trump cards and we also have a couple of players that wouldn't generate too much cash, but at least have some liquidity like Loca, Kostic and Fags. the rest are old, overpaid or not good enough to generate real interest, only to be used as bargaining chips or loan+option type of deals. it's already tragic, half of the squad will have to replaced in the next couple years and most of them ASAP.

if we sell Vlahovic and spend the money on no resale value SMS, shitty CF replacement and plugging budget holes so that we can afford paying the likes of Sandro, Bonucci, Woj, Pogba, etc, this club has no future, we're digging that hole deeper and deeper and we're already 6 feet under. whatever it takes we must hold on to the precious few good assets we got and only part with them when the time and offer is right.

It's pretty insane what they did to this team and club. We have only one asset that we can sell for a big sum of money to gather some funds, and that's Vlahovic. Bottom table EPL club has more assets.

You're fooling yourself if you thought Juve would get the same penalty if they were still in CL contention.

saving from salary + at least 10m.
You don't save that much on the salary side, we have to buy that someone and pay him too. So do you think those 10-15m would really make any difference?

The way I see it we can get much better sums saved by focusing on sales of unneeded players. We should be able to cash in on Kulu, that lands us 30-35m in cash minus the salary as he doesn't have to be replaced. We should be able to get something for McKennie and Zakaria and here you don't replace them either so salaries are gone as well.

Lazio seem to be willing to buy out Pellegrini but not for 15m. Let him go for 10-12 and he's another one.

Then, we have high earners like Paredes -> Rovella, Di Maria and Rabiot for sure are leaving too.

Honestly, the best asset you have is the stadium. You're the only club in Italy who owns their own stadium.

Dont give a fuck if he's tempted or not. He negotiated a big signing bonus on top of that 7m salary (highest gross in the league) and we also paid a 70+10m fee. We're 1.5 years in his 4.5 year contract. He doesnt get to give up and walk away just because he'd like to.
7m salary? Are you Notts County?

But notts county play better football than us have a better manager than us and have a striker in Langstaff who scored over 40 goals this season none of which were penalties.

It's like we're the only team in the last 10 years that hasn't adjusted our asking price in line with everybody else's.

If we had Mbappe we would sell him for 90M with 3 years on his contract

We must keep him. We are giving up as top club if we keep selling our best assets all the time. Even worse when they are 22 years old.
Im okay with selling them if its the right moment and price. However with Vlahovic its not. And we are not fixing the main problem - wage bill for God knows how many years now. Fuck Beppster, fuck Tici 10 times, but fuck Bini too, what an utter failure that guy is.
