I remember in the Di Maria season it often looked like Dusan free kicks were the only chance we'd have of scoring anything.
Having the threat of someone who can score freekicks is just as important as actually scoring them- because this season when we're without Vlahovic, the other team knows that they can make as many fouls as close to their box as they want without any consequences.

vlahovic joined jan 2022. here 4.5 seasons. scored 5 free kicks

pirlo played 4 seasons for juve. 11 free kick goals.

pjanic 4 seasons. 12 free kick goals.

dybala played 7 seasons for juve. 11 free kick goals.

dusan if he stays will beat the record of recent scorers.

Would be even more interesting if we could find a conversion ratio too, as in how many direct fk attempts at goal did they need to get to those numbers.

I am definitely a sucker but presuming doctors think it's advisable we 100% renew him on a sensible salary.

Doesn't matter that he hit the target in one out of 8 shots or whatever the impact of having an actual CF was tangible and we won't find a cheaper one - even one who may be worse.

He has no leverage. Lowball and resign. Give him tasty bonuses if he wants so it's win/win

Yeah, performance based bonuses are the way to go with these bums.

Sometimes signings just don't work. This guy doesn't have the personality for Juve, just how it is.

His record suggested he'd be better but he needs to move on. Maybe he'll go to Barca or somewhere and score 38 goals, but it is no odds to us.

On the positive side, he took his goal really well and nice to see what we can get with an actual striker in the team in terms of getting chances.

But that miss in the first half when he could have played in Yildiz and that offside on his goal were amateur level mistakes. Also got teed up perfectly by Conceicao on his right foot and fluffed it.

We need him for the rest of the season, so hopefully some of the misses were down to rustiness.

But he will once the season ends and teams start buying...

We won't find a cheaper one but that's not the point. The point is finding a better one.
