Same here. Zidane was a tough one to accept. I went from absolutely loving him to feeling genuinely hurt when he chose madrid over us — and I think it was the way he left at the time, he kinda pushed his way out.
But decades later, all of that fades. Time softens everything. The frustration, the disappointment… all forgotten, all forgiven.Now, as we get older, we look back with a smile. We reminisce, we laugh, and we feel nothing but gratitude that we were lucky to witnes players of that calibre wearig our shirt.
And yet, here we are today, now branded as jj, stuck with mediocrty, fallen from grace, unable even to make the CL. How times change. It’s painful to see how far we’ve fallen.
