One of the most disappointing signings. I thought he would be a beast
He's a perfect example of wrong place at the wrong time.

I wonder how his career would have played out if he didn't force his way out of Fiorentina when he did, and then went to a functional club in the following summer when his stock was high.

I feel bad for top young talents that had their careers ruined by signing with retarded clubs like Juventus, Manchester United, Chelsea, etc in recent years.

Wrong.

He is a perfect example of an over rated, over paid Douche Bag.

He was never good enough to demand that transfer free and earn what he has.

I won't blame the team or even manager for his failings here.

Chance after chance missed. Countless failed attempts to control a simple pass and was constantly falling to the floor any time a defender touched him.

Do not feel bad for him as he is laughing his way to the bank.

The club did everything to help him become a star and he never repaid the favour when it came time to sign a new contract.

He took us for granted so fuck him. He won't get any sympathy from me.

Nonsense. He’s the perfect example of a system player that can’t adapt when he isn’t centre of attention. His ego is far bigger than his talent.

He was incapable of the mentality shift when stepping up from a provincial club to a major team. He will fail at the big teams, but in a mid level club he will do well. Ironic thing is though is that his over inflated ego convinces him he should be earning tens of millions a year and playing for an elite team. So far only Besiktas want him - go figure.

It's not his fault we overpaid, but he was so underwhelming. In an era of low goalscoring, you can be deceived into thinking he was excellent, but I was more hopeful that he scored than thinking he was some sort of predator.

His touch was poor and that takes chances away from himself and it breaks the rest of the attack down. Easy chances missed. Lack of movement. These are fundamental before you get into the advanced movements of dropping the shoulder or delaying your run etc. Mediocre is the best word for him.

The truth is, two 30M strikers for one Vlahovic will forever be a better deal.

Has he reached Amauri level then?

What does it matter? It's like comparing diarrhoea from mouldy food versus drinking from a sewer, both belong in a toilet and should remind you to not make the same mistake.
Eh mayne, the JJ board at this point is like the retarded kids who want to test all 3 out to see which one gives the worst stomach ache.

How dare you?!?!?!!

Amauri in his first 6-7 months was incredible. It felt like he had 75 header goals in the first 6 weeks.

Unfortunately, it was all downhill (and fast) from there.

Not sure why you got a "wat" reaction when Amauri ineed looked like an incredible signing in the first 6 months. Afterwards not sure what happened he got so bad and lost all the aura and the ability to look like a professional footbal player. He was great in Palermo too.

Eh, the guy who gave me the "wat" reaction is Canadian. They're almost as retarded as Italians.

The difference is, unlike Italians, there are a few exceptions to that rule --- whereas 100% of Italians are retarded.

EDIT - I just gave him a "wat" reaction to his post. I got him back! BOOM!

Hated Amauri from the very beginning... if anything Vlahovic was promising during his first few weeks

I remember Amauri also having quite a bit of hype around him at the time too, with the italian NT also trying to naturalize him and all that, can’t say i hated him even if not that enthusiastic about the move either, but i do agree that the hype, potential and overall illusion around Vlahovic when we broke the bank for him to be our CR7 replacement was something else, he even started really well too but also faded away slowly and steadily.

Amauri had Del Piero, Trezeguet, and Iaquinta with him; a playmaker type, a fox in the box, and a runner. The environment was good for him and he dropped off. Vlahovic maybe had a worse team, but he got exposed quickly.

After that long with us, he didn't develop his touch or finishing. I'll give him props for trying hard on the pitch, but he isn't good enough. We went all in for Muani because he's dynamic and should bring the wingers into play more.

If Vlahovic really worked on his finishing and touch, he'd be a perfect poacher and we would've probably built around him, be he can't do these things. It's a shame, but I feel like many of our squad, he's happy to be low level and not look to improve. I wouldn't be mad if he openly said his dream is playing for Madrid and worked his arse off, but alas, not even one good team wants him.

A decent poacher, let alone a perfect one would need to finish sitters regularly. This guy has an entire catalogue of missed sitters and would be unable to fit that role at any decent level.
I’d prefer to forget this guy ever played for us, his best moment was the hype on that January day when we signed him, and he just consistently declined from then on.

There's no way to feel sorry for him after he made so much money. If anything after we've paid for so much surgery and stood by him during the ups and downs it's infuriating that he wouldn't want to repay something by accepting a salary that we can afford.

What there is is huge disappointment. He had everything he needed to become a prolific goalscorer. Sure there was no stability including with his own fitness. Every 6 months the squad got a revamp and a new coach. Still he had enough to work on himself if he'd wanted to. Only got himself to blame for not taking the final step to renown as a lethal #9.

He worked hard on the pitch but by the results you can see that he didn't work hard enough off of it. It felt like he was scraping by on ability and his goal record is okay but it should have been huge. What a waste of time and money.
