Agree obviously that Dybala was by far the better player at Juventus, but Dusan did score important goals vs rivals in Serie A and in Europe. We basically didn't have many big games while he was here lol. Higuain is the more like-for-like comparison and they come off very similar excepting that the team Dusan was in was dogshit. Higuain had better players around him to beat players with dribbles and passes. Vlahovic had to do more himself and he just wasn't equipped to do it. I remember reading that vs Higgers Vlahovic scored proportionally less vs top 4 teams, and more vs bottom half.

Something clearly got broken between him and the club or we would of kept him. He probably wasn't liked too much because at times his attitude stunk. Muani hasn't done well in the first 2 games but he kept running he kept trying and didn't keep blaming everyone else when he lost the ball or missed a chance. A player acting like vlahovic did at times is never going to be good for the locker room
He never lived up to his price tag but that wasn't his fault, no need to hate. Also, even as a free agent there was such little interest in him so I'm not convinced we'd even get 5M for a transfer. We will be the biggest club in his career and he left with a decent enough record. The money saved from his wages has freed us up to reshape the team. Good luck to him but we have a much more exciting attack now.
He lacks character and motivation. He only plays good when is angry or heavily motivated. Looking at his career it only happens when:
- he is newly signed,
- he is heavily criticized,
- he gets back from a long injury,
In all of this situations he gets heavily motivated and plays good for few games, but after the stimulation is over he fades away. It was always like this for him, too inconsistent for my liking and also too injury prone. He has missed around 50 games for us during his stint, not exactly the player u could rely on.
But what really shows his value is the club he has signed for. I mean clubs are crazy for profilic number 9 this summer and all he can get as free agent is Besiktas, that's pathetic.
