Not likeable at all but still a good acquisition to this midfield of ours. We need experience, quality and quantity to take the big step up. Even inter is rumoured to be interested...

The question is at what price....? Because he probably won't come cheap.

defensively a downgrade on everyone we have bar miretti

in our squad even locatelli is a better attacker (i know lol). mckennie shits on this guy

i also remember him throwing a tantrum at milan over his wages, then of course he failed at barca and ended up in the desert for a big paycheck. i wouldn't take him at all, i'd be happy to let inda take him. he'd be a problem here in no time. and he's 29 which is ~retirement age for many african physical players

tl;dr: no

Nah, he's way more consistent than all of our midfielders. They're all having a good period but half of their juve careers were filled with bad/mediocre performances. We tend to forget that fast.

I'd only take him on a reasonable price and not too long of a contract. He can play all of our midfield positions which could make him a good backup. Right now we have Koop (and Miretti who shits the bad once the going gets tough)...
If we have opportunities to buy enough starters, well just keep our current midfielders as backups over this.

The Barca failure is a non-arguement. They were in shambles then. Even the current golden ball failed.

do you watch the saudi league? i don't. this doesn't scream consistency at all though

I'm talking about his Europe performances. Fuck that Saudi league, I don't blame people treating it like a very well paid vacation. Everyone coming from there should be treated with skepticism, agreed. But...

Trying to ship one off to Leeds, getting bashed at by 75% of the fanbase and 100% of it respectively or being benched / worthy of being benched 50% of the time and bottling every time we play the top-6 doesn't scream consistency either.

Improving in depth is not very hard for us and some Bosman transfers would be welcome to save money for actual quality injections imho.

We need like 3 midfielders, 2 attackers and at least 2 defenders imo. Maybe even a goalie. And we don't have 200 million lying around. These guys like Schlager or Kessié aren't what we all would want but we will be needing a few of those....

Just my opinion any player that goes to the MEast to play football, isn't serious about his legacy or winning big for the team. It's just about money. And I don't care if he's on the south side of 30, can't trust him to give his team grinta. Though if you had to pick a spot to come back and get paid well while feeling like you're on an extended holiday with little blowback, Juventus is the team.
