If we are an EL club now, how about get Unai Emery? He's way better than Spunkletti and has like 5 EL's now. Would be a no brainer.
I dont care about EL. Genuinely. For me it will feel like european coppa italia. We are not Atalanta or Roma. I get our current level. I just dont care. It gives me no feeling if we win it. We might qualify to CL thanks to it but it would be easier to qualify with top 4 if you get ur s--t together.

The only time EL had any meaning was when the final was in Turin (2014). But we bottled it then.

We will just lose extra enegry playing it. There is more games even there now.

Also he did lose EL final with Arsenal (18-19). So he might lose it with us too given our record.

Also the money in CL is bigger. Getting to knockouts already gets as much money as EL winner.

This year it's been 30 years since we've been sucking dick in Europe

Was just mentioning it in the Europa League thread too before seeing your posts here, can’t think of a more fit option in a season that we’ll be playing Europa League and only have the domestic objective of finishing into Top 4, if there’s a chance of luring him here we should at the very least consider it.

Then again from another perspective why would he even want to leave Aston Villa at this stage, he just finished into Top 4 in Premier League and also won Europa League, probably has bigger long term plans there and a higher budget to work with.

That's because he only win with teams that have Villa in the name. Hence why arsenal didn't win it under Emery.
My counter argument to that would be that as far as we know he just never wins with teams based in major capital cities, which when thinking about it we fit into as a glove, so might as well test the jinx.

solid and well argued opinion. I think this is the only logical option for Juve’s current situation. He has completely transformed Aston Villa and coached them well, dragging them to the top level where they are now competitive in the EPL. Deschamps was the last non Italian coach who turned out to be a great success. Juve should discard that outdated approach and recruit proven foreign coaches.

Well we are still 1 game away but if we do go to EL - I dont care, fire him.
There are some parameters that he should be judged by and not reaching goals that shouldnt be that complicated in first place is a big red flag, even if I do appreciate some things about him.
Bottom line - Goal missed - should get the sack. I remember the Del Neri era and I also remember that we eventually found a coach that got us from 7th place to 1st.

Conte? I was not referring to him I was referring to the fact that there are coaches and there are coaches, we need to find one that can do it - immediately (Fighting for the Scudetto and losing but finishing 2nd in his first year is also acceptable considering we need lots of reinforcement and the fact Inter are above the league right now)

I dont know if he is the one we should go for but I do know he usually get the best out of his teams so he would definitely be an upgrade over Spalletti
