Just my two cents… considering all the talks about Guardiola and him turning down the FIGC i wouldn’t be surprised if he’d be more open to a project like Juve for example, high risk but high reward too for both parties, tbh if he gets full powers to rebuild the team he’d likely get us clicking within a year or two even with our current finances, after all it’s not like we haven’t been spending lots this last years too, only that we’ve been doing it on expensive flops, maybe this time we can actually do it in the coach’s vision on a long term project with someone that actually has a proven track record of getting teams to dominate at the very least domestically if not more, especially in this level of Serie Ass we’ll probably be flying again.

pep wanted to earn 20m net
That would have been a much bigger and likely longer term project involving the restructuring of the whole Italian football though… also we don’t know for sure, do you think he only turned them down because some journos came out today and said he actually wanted 20m while FIGC only offered 10m? Idk but whatever i guess, tbf i’d take our chances by offering him at least double what Spalletti is currently earning.

Yeah. All JJ needs is a 1 billion warchest which means new ownership, no FFP interference to our spending, make him the highest paid manager in Europe and then we can consider that a realistic possibility

For now, only Temu Pep's like Pirlo or some other jabroni is our reality.

Don’t think he needs a bilion to win in this Serie Ass though, also he’d probably come for wages between €10-15m, even under the current ownership we can afford to give him about €200M to play with in a summer and another €100M or so the next etc if we were to be serious again, after all we even gave it to the likes of Giuntoli and then Comolli to waste it…

For UCL yes we’ll need much more, but we are many years away from competing there again anyway, for now winning domestically is where we should focus and we got the finances for that, but not the right management, players and vision though.

Then again, i fully agree this is just wishful thinking at best unfortunately.

Sorry man, you're reaching. JJ in its current state is not an attractive option for an elite coach. We have an FFP agreement with UEFA to adhere to.

We might need way more than 200M to overhaul the squad which a coach like Pep would expect. This is a terribly constructed team with bum players all over the pitch.

We are a Union without money. Union even with the money failed to attract high profile coaches, for a good reason.

Also imagine Pep working with 65 year old Carnival Barker trying to negotiate a deal with some random Spanish player from Girona on a loan + option to buy. Stuff of nightmares.

It’s nice to daydream i guess, though i still maintain that he’d likely be more open to rebuilding a project like ours than whatever NT’s, but obviously he won’t be cheap either and we’d need to make some serious commitments on the market too for this to succeed because otherwise half-assing it can only get you so far even with someone of his level.

No, only the best ones do.
Speaking about Guardiola in particular- he has an unmatched pull, many players dream to play for him. "Guardiola lives in a Zen-like corner of the PlayStation, an unused portion of the hard drive" to quote one of them.
but we can't afford guardiola

any real coaches below ~5m? or all of them are imposters?

(fabregas earns below 2m)
