Great first 2 episodes, already hating its so short

I’m only up to the second episode of this new Season 5 lot of Stranger Things - just to finish what I started long ago.

I’ve lamented past successful series and movies in the past where a lack of budget initially forced them to use their brains. And then success comes and all brains go out the window with big budgets.

All of that is to say that every actor on this show has gotten way older. But the Duffer Brothers, who wrote and produced it, seem to have regressed to about age 13.

Nothing beats the feeling of season 1 (especially seeing it when it first aired - something about it makes it special). Season 4 was actually quite amazing but still not to the level of S1. Season 5 was a trainwreck full of plot holes and just not that great overall.

Besides the fart jokes they almost copied the book, just gave it great pictures, I think lately those showrunners adapting the books are trying to change something for the sake of it. This is how they ruined the witcher for example.

Man on Fire is a quality movie, definitely one of my favourite Denzel movies.
