Yeah to be fair i wouldn’t be surprised if the player himself decided on the move, considering there was a low release clause i’m sure more teams could afford it and probably made an attempt… whereas Liberali himself obviously knows that at Como he will find much more space to play and develop at this stage of his career, whereas at Juve he’d have likely signed up to either a series of loans or only as a rarely used sporadic backup.
All in all i’m also annoyed whenever we miss out on actual very promising talents while they are still relatively cheap, but with this types that already have many suitors ready to insert them in their first XI rotation right away you either give similar guarantees or miss out on them, which tbh i don’t blame anyone here because nor could we give such guarantees and at the same time the player would’ve risked stagnating his development.

The talent is obvious so i do think he could have found playing time here too, likely as a sporadic sub getting eased in which could have also helped him in handling better all the pressure, but personally on this one i’m more inclined to think that the player himself simply picked the project that he believes will give him more guarantees in terms of playing time/continuity and help the most in his development, after all he is moving to a lower pressure environment with not as big of expectations but also still gets to compete at the highest level, which is ideal for this stage of his career.
