We were so spoiled and thankless and made fun of this guy being fat etc. I would rather have a fat Higgy than Susan.
couldn't agree more. just watched this video and wanted to post that we were so spoiled. imagine having a player who can regularly finish with 1 or 2 touches. and the quality of assists he could work with, insane too

Pipita, Trezeguet, Tevez,... We had some magnificent strikers before going down this barrell. Having one of those would mean an unimagineable upgrade.
Indeed. In fact, even trying to compare Openda with Pipita, Trez, or Tevez would be an insult to those fine gentlemen.

BTW, how did we go so wrong in buying the best talent the world had to offer?

Maybe a short period of time here, but was exciting watching him play. Possibly a Legend for me but that large amount of money spent gives some posters a bad taste in their mouths. All I know 2.5 years here, all were scudetto titles, I think.

Might have been better ones, but goal I remember the most.

These days far too often we got shooters with no defenders on them that can't even find the target.

How sweet was this goal. Most players would not be able to chip the ball over the defenders legs a mere two yards setting up the shot. Either ground level blocked or chipped over the goal line. And Fatty started the play at midfield. LOL kind of like McBurger another fatty who somehow gets to where is supposed to be.

A lot of combined factors led to our downfall but once that happened we just stopped having the pull (financially and sporting wise combined). The only way to regain that is by winning things and along the way upping the income too.

The next 6 months are crucial for that to happen any time soon. CL qualification and a shrewd market could make us crawl out of the dark hole named 'fighting for 4th spot'. Not getting both could make us drop even deeper imo...

Just waking up seeing that play again with a couple teammates on the field. Damn I deserve 10 lashes for posting years ago why we couldn't do better in midfield than the likes of these two. :vdp:

i miss dai :touched:

also if matuidi and khedira
determine-segmentation-variables.gif

that player would've been a slightly better vidal :lion:

both had a really high ceiling at what they were good at, blaise's insane engine and khedira's positioning and reading of the game, but gaddamn were their flaws just as obvious.
we were really spoiled in midfield throughout these last 15 years. pirlo, cheesio, vidal, pogba, pjanic, khedira, matuidi,ben10, rabiot, mckennie :touched:

I miss Pipita. We are probably at the top of the table if we have him in current squad.
Higuain from Napoli/his first stint with Juve would be the best player in Serie A.

It's a shame that his rep his somewhat tarnished because of Messi fanboys and PR people. Every "failure" for Messi internationally was put at the feet of Higuain.

imo had juve signed higgy back in 2013 instead of wasting money on tevez, llorente, and others, then higgy would be top scoring Cf after del piero
