I'm laughing not on the possibilty of him being called up, I would love that. I just found funny the way you said he has chance.
Its something we would all like to believe and stranger things have happened. Couple of posts ago i said its not possible but i still think a few injuries to others and Ale getting some much deserved time and he might just make it.

I know the chances are like 1%. But Prandelli is in serious problems, his attack sucks, and he keeps talking about Ale and Totti time after time. It's not like Lippi that knew, months before WC 2010, who he's gonna take to SA.

I don't think Italy ever called up a 37 years old forward :D

Balo will be the for sure. Pazzini doesn't even play for Inter. Rossi and Cassano both out for long time. Matri isn't good enough, Giovinco...Borini and Osvaldo both suck, Gilardino is a joke- and he got the call up for the last friednly vs. Usa- Di Natale is too loser for the NT. Other names?
Fair point, though Ale is not your regular 37 year old forward :)

But I don't think he will get called up sadly. I'm not a fan of international football for couple of years so him being called would at least bring exitment up a notch but I don't think it will happen even with that dull forward line prandeli has to choose.

He needs to get more than 30 mins and he will score :agree:

Who does prandelli have at his disposal?

Balo [fuck him],Pazzo[fuck him too],rossi[Injured?],matri, giovinco[rot in sewers],borini, osvaldo and maybe di natale and gilardino. He's still definitely better than half of these faggots but will be overlooked because of his age :depressed

Who was the oldest italian to get a call up in recent times? fuck prandelli if totti or gilardino make it and ale dont.
Great reasoning. Fuck Balotelli and Pazzini, that's why Ale should go to the Euros :agree:

Earth calls...

I know i know, but be ready for it will suck like hell when Borini and Gilardino [29 years] gets a call and Ale don't. Prandelli will take Di Natale over Del piero [Di midgeto deserves a call up but not over Capitano :D]

They might go with these 5

balo, midget cancer boi, matri, osvaldo/borini/pazzi, the original midget natale

Balo will be fun to watch in the euros. Since I don't care how italy will do I will be just fun to see him go crazy or something. While Pazni can certainly fuck off, I don't understand what somebody sees in him, nothing really nothing special from him.

Prandelli should consider Del Piero, because he is Del Piero the one and only, remember we have spain, and we all know how much Ale loves to score against Casillas,he should even captain that side..
There,thats my reason..

Alessandro Del Piero form puts Juventus in difficult position

Alessandro Del Piero has given Juventus a lift in recent games but his inspirational performances are a double-edged sword for club President Andrea Agnelli, who is coming under pressure to rethink his decision not to extend the 37-year-old's contract.

Del Piero, in his 19th season at the club, has had such an impact off the bench in the last two games that fans are also debating whether coach Antonio Conte will finally hand him a starting place in Sunday's match against Napoli (1845 GMT).

Juventus are unbeaten in Serie A this season, although a series of recent draws has left them trailing leaders AC Milan by four points with nine games each to play.

Milan, who have 63 points from 29 games, have shown few signs of slipping up although they may be vulnerable on Saturday as they face a difficult trip to Catania (1600) only three days after a demanding Champions League match against Barcelona.

Seventh-placed Catania battled back for a 2-2 draw at Napoli one week ago and are hoping to qualify at the very least for the Europa League.

Del Piero has made only 16 Serie A appearances for Juventus this season, of which 13 have been as a substitute and most of those too late in the game to make any impact.

Conte gave Del Piero more of a chance against Inter Milan last Sunday, bringing on the playmaker in the 53rd minute with the score at 0-0.

Del Piero quickly changed the face of the game, scoring the second goal in Juventus's 2-0 win. He also scored and played a key role in the 2-2 draw against AC Milan on March 20 which took Juve to the Italian Cup final.

Those performances had observers wondering why Conte has not made more use of Del Piero, especially in the potentially costly home draws against Siena, where he stayed on the bench, and Chievo, where he was brought on with only 12 minutes left.

The misfiring performances of preferred strikers Alessandro Matri and Mirko Vucinic have added to the mystery.

Del Piero, whose Juventus career included a season in Serie B in the wake of the "Calciopoli" scandal when the club was demoted, has won admiration for refusing to complain about his bit-part role and his future.

He diplomatically ducked the issue again despite impressing on Sunday.

"There's nothing to add at the moment except that my future at the moment is Sunday evening's game against Napoli," he said.

"I don't want to miss a moment of this adventure, the objective at the moment is to keep in touch with Milan."

Defender Giorigio Chiellini added: "Alex is a great champion and always will be, and we as players can just observe and accept his choice.

"I think that the end of the season will be the time for him and the club to sit down and talk and make a decision together."

Napoli, joint fourth with 48 points, are battling to finish third which would earn them a place in next season's Champions League qualifying tournament.

However, their draw against Catania, when they squandered a two-goal lead, has left them three points behind third-placed Lazio, who visit struggling Parma on Saturday (1845).

Andrea Stramaccioni makes his debut as Inter Milan's third coach of the season as the crisis-torn club, champions five seasons in a row from 2006 until 2010, host lowly Genoa on Sunday (1300).

Inter's defeat at Juventus last Sunday cost Claudio Ranieri his job, left them 10 points adrift of Lazio in third and facing, at best, the prospect of the Europa League next season.

Its good that everyone is on the same line regarding del piero. Im pretty sure that the decition of not using him has not been forced by conte, but maybe the upper echelons. But facts cannot be hide.,.. Del Piero is del piero and conte has been forced tactically to use him in the last of games. Guess what'? the guy delivered... but this is not surprise or coincidence...because the few times he has been given a chance.. he has delivered. Since that coppa game which he started and played a full match... he has been raging to continue and seems to be in good shape thanks to the lot of training and resting he has been given.

About him being in the Euro. It would be simply awesome to see him once again in there. He can be used exactly as he is used now in Juve...as a super sub or a starter depending on game. Im pretty sure he would not dissapoint...especially if we take in consideration the amount of average forwards(at least in performance) italy has right now.

I think it would be epic to see a veteran like him banging nets at his age in the euro

This is not against DP, but I'm against all of the players who use twitter, facebook and all that kind of stuff. Forza Andrea Pirlo in the way he conducts himself as a footballer.

Yes because players are machines and not human beings that have the need to share stuff about their life and feel the love of others.
Plus it's a big marketing move even for our beloved Ale :D
