Our shocking injury record in recent years imo is because of coaches coming in and thinking that the whole grinta/fino alla fine thing just means the players working themselves to exhuastion. None of them get it and all we're left with is professional athletes unable to walk and then after recovery are scared of getting reinjured.
Its been like that for over 10 years. Just listen to the Evra podcast with Roy Keane

Yeah but imo there was more to it then. It wasn't just being exhausted it was understanding that success comes through hard work.

Since the fall the coaching team have lost sight of what the training is for and all that's remembered is that everybody needs to be knackered. So everybody is injured as fuck. Maybe I'm misremembering but I don't think everybody was injured all the time under Conte were they?

Not from what I remember no. We had a pretty tight squad his first year and all of our best players managed to stay fit for most of the season.

Not playing in Europe also helped.

I think it started during Allegri's first stint at the club.

Another one bite the dust...

Grabara was injured in training and sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Surgery appears almost certain.

This team is cursed..
yeah just read it. fucking hell, poor dude, very sorry for him

Thats a bad injury for numerous reasons. Probably means they wont exercise their buy option, although I guess they can just renew the loan for another year.

this probably means pinsoglio is the backup and Radu gets promoted. That old fuck better not play pinsoglio over radu but everyone knows he will.

Try and get Daffara back in january.

Fucking gutted, i was rooting for him to take the number one spot and really believed he could have made a difference. Sadly now he'll only be making the difference at JMedical. This club cant catch a break.

Get well soon Grabara and all the best.

acl injuries at jj during the last 10 seasons:
- marchisio
- pjaca (twice)
- chiellini
- demiral
- chiesa
- bremer
- cabal
- grabara

almost one each year. this season this is the 2nd one. even roma or lazio don't have that much, while they are playing half of their seasons on that infamously bad olimpico pitch. demiral and chiesa both killed their acl's there if i remember correctly

it's not bad luck. this needs to be investigated, it damages the club both on the pitch and financially

The worst management in football today also have the worst injury record in Europe? Color me surprised

These are the people that deepthroaters like Robee and DanielSz look up to. I hope they are proud looking at the state of this football club.

'Financial care', 'Best GM in Serie A', 'injuries happen to everyone, its just our luck!'

Please continue to keep lying and deluding yourselves. I am looking forward to compete with Torino and Genoa for a 10th place finish this season and beyond.

I agree but what is it then? We have had different coaches, different training methods I assume....

Could it be the training ground?

i don't know, i know literally nothing about physical preparation, but it's abnormal. can't be just bad luck. hire the best experts, it's a billion dollar business after all

this article speculates that the frequent change of fitness staff might be an issue: https://www.yardbarker.com/soccer/a...i_who_must_find_new_solutions_for_the_attack/

After Simone Folletti's five years between 2014 and 2019, from 2019 to today, the following have followed one another: Losi, Ranzato, Bertelli, Folletti again, Colinet, Licini, Pertusio, Ragnacci and now Sinatti. Constant changes that certainly do not help.

it's all speculation though

okay this is ridiculous, even a jj women team player broke her leg (both tibia and fibula) during a friendly

https://www.juventus.com/it/news/articoli/bollettino-medico-le-condizioni-di-manuela-korogo

tried to find what caused the injury, but even if it was a rough challenge, what the fuck

We didn't have many injuries at all last season and the fitness staff didn't change much. But we did have a pre-season under Tudor's guidance and not Spalletti's.

Even Darren Burgess supposedly changed role is nowhere definitively mentioned and looks like a rumour from what I could find after searching.

It's all speculation obv but I think the mental state, stress and pressure is definitely one of the factors too.
