My rationale is the following, if spalletti is liked despite no making the CL, that means they really believe in him, so they will at least make an effort to get him the tools to implement his philosophy.
I'm holding some hope this vision excludes the likes of loca and cambi.

That’s a fair point, personally i would have been much more confident in the mercatto with the UCL qualification under our belt, reason for which i consider Spalletti done himself a major disservice by failing to achieve it and that puts him at odds with his own plans… but i guess we’ll see how it’ll go.
