Watched the highlights. He is better than Serie C but is he ready for Serie A...

I wish the next gen can get a promotion.
Serie B is weak but C can barely considered as professional
serie c is a de facto professional league

puczka is very talented. then again, the main issue of italian players is the transition from youth prospect to proper 1st division players. maybe a good thing is that he's austrian

Puczka to me is like a young kostic, a tweener. Not good enough defensively to be a fullback, not dynamic enough to be a winger, but could be really good as a wingback. Hes got a big leg and brings value on set pieces. Juve barely have any set piece specialists, really think he could help.

Why the fuck is this guy who is 21 years old playing in Serie C?

I was watching the EPL last night and kids like Max Dowman (16) and Rio Ngumoha (17) are getting minutes for Arsenal and Liverpool, respectively.

Because they are top tier wonderkids?

He is a U23 reserve team player?

Arsenal and Liverpool also have 20-23 year olds in their reserve team.

But the difference is their U23 teams are playing other U23 teams.

Not in the official leagues tier system like Juves U23 teams. So not playing adults and clubs with chance to promote to 2nd tier league.

Tho odds of juve promoting is small.

Luciano Spalletti wants a physical playmaker, resilient under pressure, capable of running a lot. It's pointless to think about the ideal position for Licina; that's his position by definition. He's not a runner, despite having a good physique for a modern winger.

Anyway, I was very happy about the arrival of Grady Makiobo, who for me was a prospect on the level of Licina, Yildiz, Huijsen, Elimoghale. One of those you know that if not at Juve, then at worst they'll have a career in Serie A. Unfortunately, he had started very much under the radar and I thought of

Luciano Spalletti plans integrate some young stars into the first team next season and Gil Puche is the main candidate.

The Spanish defender has been on of the best performers for the Next Gen this season. He will be apart of the summer training session where he’ll either play his way into the first team next year or go out on loan (@tuttosport )
——

For me Gil is ahead of where Muharemovic was at the same stage of his development. Hes a standard spanish CB, very good on the ball. He could easily be a backup next season.

Sucks that Makiobo got injured just as he was getting integrated into next gen because hes someone I thought could play in the first team this season. But he should be a fixture for next gen next season and play his way into the mix. I see him as a potential backup for Loca.

He’s been performing brilliantly, showing a solid level. I just hope it wasn’t a fluke and that he doesn’t suddenly turn mediocre or below average. I’ve watched three of his games, and he looked confident, making some decent saves.

It would be good for him if he joins the
pre-season with us and play against team with strong attacking talent like Madrid, Barca, Bayern, PSG, etc. Those games will increase his playing level and mentality with a slight decrease of pressure.

For his next season, I don't think it would be good for him to joins us right away. Play as a starting keeper on loan in a Serie A would be the best thing for him to have better knowledge of the league. He can be 2nd keeper if we cannot find any club that can starts him in Serie A.

Why does a goalkeeper need to follow the same development path as outfielders? Keeping is basically all reflexes and talent with less positioning/tactics than any other position.
