GK:
Guessing Mangiapoco is the starter. Not on Daffara’s level but good enough to play in a higher division. Not sure about Serie A, definitely not for Juve at least.

CB:
Pedro Felipe returns from a loan at Sassuolo. Barely played but looked good in his one start. I’ve talked about him enough. Hes too good for serie C and if it were up to me he would replace Gatti with the first team.

Another talent is Gil Puche. I think hes training with the first team currently and I think hes good enough to be a squad player for Juve right now. I think hes ahead of where Muharemovic was when he was with next gen. I’d be surprised if he stayed with next gen. He needs to a higher level.

Monteros kid gets promoted, I dont really rate him but others do. I just think hes too small.

Van Aarle is an interesting prospect. He has great size and is left footed. I dont think he imposes himself as much as he should given that size. Interesting to see if he takes a leap.

FB/WB

Grelaud is the one I rate the most here. Classic attacking wingback, technical, fast, needs to work on the defensive phase.

Pagnucco had injuries and was stuck behind Puczka but the runway is there for him to take a step forward this season. Can play on both flanks but clearly better on the left.

Turco a lot like Pagnucco, was injured last season but has an opportunity to play a lot this season.

CM
Makiobo, Mazur, and Keutgen are all good prospects and I rank them in that order. Thought Makiobo had a chance to break into the first team last season but then he got injured. Keutgen looks to have gained some muscle since I saw him last. Mazur was already physically mature for his age but has durability questions.

AM
Licina is the best talent in the squad and the closest to a promotion. Gundoz is recovering from a long term injury.

FW
Konate arrives from Empoli. Has played in serie A. Guessing he will start.

Guerra the old fart who always plays.

Daniel Okolo is the most intriguing one in this group. Great size, looks athletic, still only 18. Dunno much beyond that but on paper hes the one to watch.

Durmisi promoted from primavera where he played well but I think hes a lot like Pugno, physically advanced, but might struggle as those advantages even out at higher levels.

Justin Oboa is the only winger worth tracking. Hopefully they add more at this position.

Not the first time and not the worst we have done...

Remember Marley Aké... well before we bougth him, he played 26 games fot the first team of Marseille and 4 games in Champions League for Marseille... we bougth him to sned him to Serie C...

The goal is to see if he is good enough to develop for reserve U23 team.

I checked his career trajectory so far. Making a debute in Serie A doesnt mean you are Serie A level player if you cant maintain it (no goal and limited minutes). So he gets another chance in the level he was at before that debute. In Serie C/youth reserves football.


No one is regressing him significantly. If Serie A and Serie B teams were after him and wanted to give him playtime, he would joined them.

Let's follow up after then:

Marley Ake since he left Juve is owned by a swiss team in their second division, at age 25.


And even that team is loaning him out to some Belgian side.


Does that sound like a missed opportunity?

I mean that would be a pretty good outcome considering where hes at in his career right now. Hes just someone to help next gen, and could go up to the first team in an emergency. I dont think its deeper than that.
