Also they better not postpone it or drag it on via alternative methods only for it to worsen and then need to go for surgery midseason and end up missing huge chunks of the season because of it.

Easy for us to say, as it's not our body.

Athletes will almost always go the rest/rehab route if they can and hope for the best before going to surgery.

Talk about a worst case scenario right now with so much uncertainty heading into the season with maybe our most important player.

All of a sudden, adding another wing could be a top priority this summer. Starting scouting for out of favor wingers that could be available for loan at the end of the window.

It all depends on the spread of the actual tendinosis but 12 months (without tears in the tendon) is a load of crap. 3 or 4 months is already pretty long for a simple cleaning...
But an operation for something like that sounds very hefty for his age. Sounds off to me... There would have to be something seriously wrong to operate on a guy that age. Not a simple tendinosis if they do...
