Never seen a CB pocket a ST like how Bonucci pockets Lukaku. Just steps in and takes the ball clean over and over.
Swedish TV interviewed De Ligt after the match and one of the questions was how we silenced Lukaku. His reply was that you don't have to be physical to stop him because that's where he is better. Bonucci is the perfect example of a defender that does not do physical work.

I hope you feel like as idiotic as your comment is.

What a phenomenal performance tonight. He's been absolutely incredible for us.

Easily the man of the match tonight IMO. Alongside Chiesa of course, who showed glimpses of bloody brilliance.
Dude is an absolute farce. Have you seen him attempt to "attack". Legit blooper reel material when he thinks he has channeled Pele and runs forward trying to take on defenders. He will, like any defender on planet earth other than De Sciglio, have a good game every now and then. However, he's a liability in defense and financially. Makes way too much money for the quality he offers.

Look at how good this guy is when we’re actually playing like a unit. This goes for De Ligt too.
Do you mean he is good at defending when we are playing 27% possession catenaccio?? We haven't kept a clean sheet in Serie A in, what 20 matches? He is a large reason why. Can't mark set pieces. Has 0 athletic ability. And of course earns on par with superstars.

Not to blow your bubble but he played the full 90 against Chelsea. It's not like Bonucci was the sole problem in previous seasons either with Allegri.
Against Chelsea they literally played catenaccio and had 27% possession. If they conceded it would be a national embarrassment.
