I'm not trying to defend spal, but if trust is completely broken, it might be one of those me or him ultimatums. Any normal owner would have fired comolli by now, but elkann is too lazy/corporate to invest time and effort into the sporting side. My reading is spallettis gamble is to force elkanns hand, it's a win win for him.
I agree. One of them must leave or Spaletti wont last more than 3 games, my bet is that hell quit before season start.

Now who the hell is Burgess? Why do we have so many random executives? That's usually a good sign of stagnation on its own.
Yeah, he was brought in to oversee the fitness front and manage the injuries. But that should always happen in a dialogue with the coach obviously. Don't know how this is role is being interpreted for and by him....

Injury wise we definitely raised our level and whoever is responsible for that should be highly accredited. This was one of our main problems for years.

If its this guy called Burgess, than respect for the work!
Agreed but our injuries also dropped because our team is like 10 years younger on average than before....

Not sure how accurate that is… seems more like that Burgess guy might actually know what he’s doing after all.

-edit- the google AI didn’t do a good job at summarizing it accurately.

Despite our poor situation, we're still one of the biggest clubs in the world and I think Spalletti wants to have a fair shot and building something. He's seen the squad and it's frustrating from his perspective that he tried hard to change our play but was let down by some pathetic players.

Motta played Poopminers all the time while Spalletti quickly benched him and tried to reinvent him as a defender. He had major keeper and striker issues, it's abnormal how poor they were while a mediocre Malen could thrive for Roma. Good games undone by Di Gregorio letting the first shot in then having to chase the game. It's highly unusual and smells like a betting scandal because that much incompetence is irregular.

You have to let the manager pick his players, right now Comoli is sabotaging everything with his shit choices. His job is the get the players that Spalletti suggests. The managers who do the best are those given the most freedom with transfers. I'm not expecting us to become the formidable Juve of old, but this guy at least can make us a solid top 4 team and set the foundations for a somewhat creative/attacking team for the the next guy.

Yeah, it was Giuntoli dropping our average age so it dropped when compared to before.
