Wouldn't work, we have too many good offensive midfielders that need to play. 4-2-3-1 is perfect for our players, just need to stay consistent. I don't need to see a back 3 with Kelly or Cambiaso ball with wingbacks.
Exactly, although i think a CB trio between Kalulu-Bremer-Lukumi has a lot of potential i still much rather us have an extra midfielder/winger/forward on the pitch at any given time instead of an extra defender.

so it begins... story of our last season too

we need to start converting our chances, and not concede on the first shot. we can't afford another sassuolo game

btw it could be worse, just look at monza or fiorentina

‍ Luciano Spalletti to 'TuttoSport':

BECOMING THE JUVENTUS COACH
"At Roma, I coached a fanbase, at Napoli you coach a city. At Inter a tradition, with la Nazionale a nation. At Juventus, on the other hand, you coach a mentality: it is the history of football. Here there is the Juventus way: it is not just an impetuous emotion. It is joy, pride and responsibility: these are sentiments that never leave me alone. It is the never banal intensity of exaggerated sadness and overwhelming happiness. You must not just live for football, but for Juventus. We are in competition with our own level, not with others. Our club is synonymous with footballing excellence, which is why the interest in us is global".

WHAT IT MEANS TO COACH JUVENTUS -
"It is something grand. Truly massive. Doing something you like is freedom, being happy to go and do it is love. There are extremely high responsibilities, of course: it will be difficult for us, but it is a task I take on gladly. There is one prevailing sentiment: here I feel happy and free".
FIRST ONE-YEAR CONTRACT -
"Mainly, it was down to trust in the team. Then, trust in myself, and finally, the history of the club. Experience leads you to accept and manage everything that happens, without it ever overly impacting the happiness I feel ever day doing this wonderful job. There is beauty here, I didn't have any hesitation or doubt. It took me just a moment to want to test myself against this world, and then the possibility to renew and start laying the foundations for the work to come matured. We will see if we can go out and get what everyone expects".

CLOSENESS TO ELKANN
-
"I must say that Elkann has one quality in particular: simplicity, the kind that allows you to instantly connect with whoever is in front of you. For me, it was a precious meeting: you immediately understand the authenticity of his knowledge and his experiences".

RECONSTRUCTION -
"Yes, a change is underway. The new club directors show it: the ownership, however, remains the same and that is a good thing. Now we need time and maturation, a few steps must be taken in line with the previous one. The start wasn't the happiest: there is this defeat against Sassuolo that hurts, but we are on the right track. I see the correct things to regain that level, that rhythm and that teamwork that we showed for quite a while last year".

ROLE MODEL AT JUVENTUS -
"Definitely Gianluca Vialli. As a player, he would slam me to the ground in challenges, then he would give me his hand and smile at me. That was how he lived football. He brought power, a smile and respect to the pitch. He would throw you down like a gladiator and lift you back up like a brother: you instantly understood who he truly was".
JUVENTUS COACHES WHO INSPIRE ME -
"Too easy: Lippi and Trapattoni. Even for me it has become a nursery rhyme: Zoff, Gentile, Cabrini, Bonini, Brio, Scirea, Bettega, Tardelli, Rossi, Platini and Boniek".
ACCEPTING THE JUVENTUS CHALLENGE -
"Behind every step, my family is always there. Having never had an agent, my only discussion is with them".

CRITICISM OF MY WAY OF BEING -
"Those who target me fiercely in the past wasted their time. Complete wasted effort. I have always criticized myself. I am the best at not granting myself alibis and excuses. Faced with excesses - both of criticism and praise - I only take a portion of it to improve myself".

BEING DESPISED
-
"We must all increase our capacity to be despised: I have learned to manage it, they have written everything about me. I have banged my head on the desk, I have quoted Cioni's Chickens. In my family, we are like little beasts: when I used to go back home, my brother would look at me and shout: 'Amazing, we are breaking everyone's b...., it means you are doing a perfect job'. There, I try to never forget that teaching - that joy in taking contempt head-on. Because only the acceptance of contempt, knowing that you cannot please everyone, makes you free to be yourself".

PLAYERS I HAVE IMPACTED POSITIVELY -
"I'll mention a few, the most vivid in my mind: Pizarro at Udine, Lobotka and Kvara at Napoli, Salah at Roma and Cancelo at Inter. Kvara came from a unique style of football, but Salah delivers a Ballon d'Or to anyone who coaches him, let it be clear. As an attacking midfielder, I am convinced Pizarro would have had less prominence compared to acting in front of the defense: there, you touch 300% more balls. In crowded and tight places, you have to tear open the gaps, just like in the penalty box today. You have to take it away from someone else. That way, David showcased his talent more. I found Lobotka on the fringes, he had forgotten how strong he was because he was a marginalized player. And you have to play on that fact, telling them: 'I chose you'. Sometimes, you need to say something to make them calm down. We are always looking for someone to tell us something convincingly and manage to get us to do it: it happened in the era of stilt houses and it happens today. But it is always the level of the footballer that makes the difference, because football is complex".

CAPITAL INCREASE
-
"I feel even more responsible in my profession, there is a big note pressure. You have to be available for work, I am pleased to be part of all of this. The ownership is intervening to guarantee stability to the club: the family cares deeply about Juventus".

HOW MUCH I STUDY MY COLLEAGUES
-
"I study them all. It will happen that when I retire, I will go and coach in the Prima Categoria (amateur lower tier). You'll see".

YILDIZ -
"He puts the chrome finish on plays, he makes them shine. Every single play of his is a handcrafted piece of ingenuity. He is a system breaker: he doesn't even know himself what he can do. He starts the action, but he doesn't have a pre-established plan on what feint to execute. It happens that someone in the training reads the movement he will make in advance. But Kenan still gets past them. Even if you know him, you can't trick him: he has madness in his inventiveness. To me, he is comparable to Kvara: he just needs to play a bit more, but I see him as very similar in the unpredictable situations he creates. Because of how he always tries to stay outside the tempo of the game and the rules of the play".

KENAN ALREADY LEADER -
"Yes, I recognize the scepter is his: he is a wonderful, incredibly simple guy - truly the boy next door. But he is a leader. He doesn't necessarily have to speak to the team. I had Nestor Sensini at Udinese: he didn't say a word. But his charisma forced everyone to follow him, he was magnetic".

DOES TECHNIQUE OR INTELLIGENCE MATTER MORE IN A PLAYER -
"If your head is switched on, you are ready. When everything seems under control, the pitfall hits you. Rearview mirrors give you more advantages in reading situations in advance. The match is chaos now. Before the reference points were clear: the left center-back, the full-back, the positions. Today, spaces open and close continuously, players exchange tasks and functions. The difference is made by those who manage to read what the ball is about to generate".

Okay imo we are genuinely better at imposing our game on teams smaller than us than we have been for years and years, but the flaw still remains that that game doesn't involve a plan on how to score goals in tight games vs well-setup teams.

Serie A teams are all too well organised when playing against us to allow us to wing it, and this is certainly the case with the players we've had for the last decade.

We're far too easy to figure out. The coach (coaches really, but that includes this one) is the point of failure for this imo. I don't have the answer but neither does the guy paid millions to create one.
