We should have won that match given the amount of chances we had. But positive attacking play, defensively we are really easy to play against.
The difference is that in years past we looked okay at the back and rudderless up front. It's because now we have a coach focusing on attack but we don't have good defensive players.

I miss Bremer. Very transparently out best player by a huge distance

I mean tbh we haven't dominated stats like that in UCL for a long time, so the game is there. So far I'm happy what I see.

In theory, all the remaining opponents are weaker than Sporting, although Monaco and Benfica are similar.

Can’t expect miracles in a week, however he sure is doing a decent job thus far in terms of keeping us more organized and showing a better attitude overall, then being just a bit more daring when going forward is a plus too even if not clinical enough, but ultimately it’s the players that have to deliver and finish chances off, which tonight didn’t happen, we’ve been as wasteful as always, whereas his subs and timing of them were far from inspiring also, however he still gets the benefit of the doubt due to the small sample size.

This run of games until the next international break coming up can probably be assimilated as sort of a ‘preseason’ for him, it’s a period of trials and experiments going on both in terms of personnel as well as the tactics and formations that we’ll eventually move forward with, though obviously the pressure and urgency of results can not be compared to a preseason, which is why errors must be contained and reduced to a bare minimum.
