New formation finally coming

When asked whether the new system could include two centre-forwards, Spalletti replied: “We can also play with two strikers, it’s possible. We have the right characteristics. Openda can play as a centre-forward or support striker. We can play with two wide forwards, or a central striker, or a 4-3-3. These are things we’ll need to analyse properly.

He acrually said that this passing of the ball from one side to the centerback to the other side was not useful at all. We needed to switch quicker.

He said we can't just rely on Yildiz taking on 4 players, it's also about finding the final pass. He said specifically Keph had the chance the 3 times in the same play, every pass he made came back to him and he kept hitting the same defender. Need to be better.

Spaletti reiterated that these short passes that are often horizontal are pointless, they allow the other team to get in position too easily. We need to pass vertically, we have to improve in this area.

That's great if true because it is our biggest weakness imo.
He said it in the post game and an interview, Iistened myself and just relayed it here.

It will be interesting to see what he does at the end of the break.

He said we could play with 2 strikers when he was asked but even a 4 3 3. It definitely seems like he will move away from 3 at the back.

I want to see him experiment with Adzic as the Regista, maybe even Miretti but I think Miretti can be useful in the two box to box mids.

I think we have a massive issue that forces Cambiaso on the left, we don't have anyone for the left.

I think Yildiz gets his toes stepped on by Cambiaso there and it forces him wide, Cambiaso ends up going central. It needs to be the other way around.

As much as I've said this season is going to be Juve's worst since 1961-62, Spalletti is about the only reason I believe I could be wrong.

Yesterday's match sucked ass. So much possession and dominance, and yet useless for any real end product. Immensely frustrating. And losing points where we should get a guaranteed 3 is never excusable.

But I won't blame Spalletti for that. I will blame him if we're seeing the same out of this side in March. But he needs time to cook. Because he inherited a failing restaurant that only has three eggs, some pasta, capers, and an eggplant in the fridge.

I remember when half our squad would inspire envy in most teams.
We’ve morphed into a Fiorentina type roster in these last few plus seasons. And our CL exits in the last 5-7yrs and against all those bang average crappers says it all.

LMAO on this but useful in getting your point across. I knew very little about Spaletti before joining this site. Honestly other than WC and Euro didn't pay much attention other than Juve. Now looking up his resume, Spaletti has had success at Roma twice, in Russia along with Inter and Napoli getting them to farther places they weren't before he arrived.

If wrong posters let me know, but didn't have much talent at Roma compared to other big league squads but got the most out of them. Even says let Totti know who was boss and eventually Totti fell into place.

As much as I've said this season is going to be Juve's worst since 1961-62, Spalletti is about the only reason I believe I could be wrong. And losing points where we should get a guaranteed 3 is never excusable.
Yes this team lacks quality players but agree Spaletti's proven success gives me hope. Definitely IMO he rightfully deserves more time than either Motta or Tudor. And not beating teams you should every day of the week is my main grip. Okay if less talent on paper than say Nap, AC, and Inter and not winning, you can live with, but matches like yesterday are frustrating.

Spalletti said with the break theyll have time to change the formation. Hopefully that includes launching locatelli and Gatti directly into the sun.

More urgently is using Yildiz more central and preferably Cambiaso on the right so he can use his inward crosses that are more dangerous.

As Salvo said in this thread and match thread, its not a good idea to have Yildiz glued to the left corner while Cambiaso gets in his way as inward left central player. Its repeating the Motta mistake.

The best thing about Tudor was amount of freedom Yildiz had to roam centrally, and was more productive for it.

The best football we have seen in the past several years was the brilliant Motta start where we were hammering teams 3-0, as we should expect. Now here we are struggling again with an old timer Shitalian in charge, with people stroking themselves at the thought of Cambiaso on the right, which Motta already did, and Yield Jizz in the center, which failed Tutor already did. The hope dopes are alive and well at Tuz and JJ.
