Loser coach, loser captain, loser management, loser fanbase. Loser^4. No doubt we finish 5th now. We deserve everything we get in this very predictable outcome.
It should be counted as a W if this entire management gets sacked at the expense of not making the CL. Hopefully this pushes Elkunt out of the club too.

Cumolli's sacking in particular should be celebrated. Most incompetent loser we've hired in recent years.

valid points, but the team was still in a very good position to win the game. when you have like a dozen of shots and they have 1 on target from not even a dangerous spot, and they still win, that's not something the coach could/should solve. shit happens, it's football

spalletti isn't perfect but i'd replace at least 10 players before him and i'd believe that could make a bigger positive impact. we need better players, that's been my bottom line since the 2nd part of the pirlo season. and the situation only became worse ever since. when we cannot trust like 3-4 players to confortably score penalties and take responsibility, that's lack of quality and leadership

He is not the main problem obviously but neither is he the solution long term tbh, if anything our current position in the league along with the results over this last few months are evidence enough.

Also in the summer we certainly won’t be replacing jabronis with world class players in their prime all of a sudden, more so if we miss out on Top 4 it’s just as likely that he might end up working with an even weaker squad next season… frankly idk where all this blind trust comes from where many fans are ready to renew him no questions asked even if we finish 5th/6th this season, because the main argument i am reading is that it’s the player’s fault and he will have a big say in us strengthening the squad in the summer, but then i ask again how will we do that with no CL money and a bunch of overpaid mediocre players still tied to long term contracts here.

Yes this is a weak and unbalanced squad, but us potentially being broke in the summer due to missing out on the UCL money certainly won’t change much in that regard.

One of his main mistakes in recent weeks was failing to create a longterm gameplan that would allow players like Yildiz, Boga, McKennie and Thuram to shoot at goal.

His experiment with Boga and Yildiz was an evident it won’t work, we struggled last week also with Yildiz as ST. Let them on the wings with Chico as mad sub. Use Vlaho or Milik ffs

We don't need to replace everyone with world class players to improve this team. We simply need to build a sensible squad while working with the coach.

Why is there no reliable striker for Spalletti? David is clearly not it and Openda is barely a football player. Spalletti plays trequartisti as false 9 instead of those two.

Why do we end up with McKennie as a 2nd choice LB to finish the match?

Why Koopmeiners as CB?

Why Kalulu as our only reliable RB?

Two teams that do not have more top players than we do are above us on the table (Milan and Como). They are there because they are more sensibly built.

La Stampa: Openda (for the third consecutive time) was given zero minutes, and remained with David on the sidelines. It's no coincidence that both remained talking during their prolonged warm-up, almost incredulous at finding themselves excluded and not even considered in an occasion that inevitably leaves a lasting impression. Just in case anyone still had any doubts : Openda and David (and also Zhegrova...) were rejected by Spalletti, along with their transfer strategies that at the time had already been more than accepted by Igor Tudor.

But these decisions, even more than others, seem to represent a clear statement of intent from Spalletti towards the club: to return to winning ways, they must not repeat the mistakes of the past, especially in the transfer market. Perhaps by focusing more on the pitch than the computer

Fair points, but as evidenced throughout the last few mercattos we couldn’t build a complete and competitive squad even while having the UCL funds, hence why i doubt we will upgrade this upcoming summer if we eventually miss out on Top 4… this management inspires no confidence whatsoever, and by the looks of it nor will Spalletti be able to work any miracles when faced with this type of squad.

All 3 players were given plenty of chances to play this season and they all failed miserably.

I'm not mad about them being left out.
