calma, he's just joking. i for one giggled a bit
anyway, i also don't think that contract will ultimately save allegri. he had the same contract a few years ago too, and his results were much better in '19
exor has money, they'll find a way if there's the will
And I did not. It's fine to comment on the news itself but you don't shoot the messenger IMO. Fine by me, I don't have to share my lurking findings.
I also don't think the contract saves him. What most don't realize is that Allegri's contract is already budgeted, JJ have to pay him either way. Sack or no sack changes nothing, that cost is already planned.
The point is whether JJ will be able to afford the new coach and his coaching staff. Surely the club needs to give some guarantees when it comes to mercato as well, no matter who comes. In a such a tight budget this is not so clear. However, I can easily see Giuntoli suggesting someone else for the bench (Agresti reported this as well) if he thinks that someone else can squeeze more out of these players. Also, there are a lot of redundant players so this should allow to both lower the salaries and do some changes in the squad.
We also have to remember that a lot of journalists mention Allegri's backing from Elkann but in the end it's him who put the new board together with Calvo at the top of the club hierarchy. Most probably it was also JE who wanted Giuntoli as well. Then, consider the results which were totally shit and the fact at least half of the locker room is against him.
With these circumstances the future doesn't look too bright for Allegri. Here's hoping Elkann will find a way to part ways in peace or that some other club comes calling and Max picks up the phone. There will be a lot of free benches this Summer, starting with PSG, ending up with Napoli, Roma and probably even Milan.
