He constantly lost games to the worst teams in the league with squads that were 10 times better. So it's not an excuse.

He is the best manager I've ever seen at turning good players into absolute trash. He had players like Chiesa, Kulu and Dybala ran into the grounds with unnecessary defensive duties.

His football is the worst style ( for lack of a better word) that I have ever seen and I've been watching football since the early 90s.
Do you think he was just bad between 2014 and 2018?

he never had a competitive squad, his strongest season was hijacked by guintoli, yet he won a cup

he's not an eye pleasing coach. he still brings the points. i don't think anyone would win the league with any of his previous jj squads or this milan. inda would give him a competitive squad, he'd easily win the league with them, that's why i don't want him there

unless as a trojan horse of course
Why do we always like to live in the past? Allegri was good in his first era, but with the same ideas and tactics he messed up in his second spell. If past success at the club is the criterion, then Lippi would have more claim.

I wouldn't say bad because he got results but even though we won most games I was bored to death watching Juve, especially in the league.

Most games we would come out guns blazing and try to score early then if we did it was 60mins of playing in 3rd gear.

Or we would grind teams down with 90% possession, slow and controlled and then score eventually.

This was all despite having hugely superior squads. Teams we should have been crushing we would beat by 1 or 2 goals playing in 3rd gear.

We were lucky enough to have some great individual talent who who produce great goals or passages of play so it wasn't always bad but for the most part it was boring.

Carbon copy of 23/24 season. 1 game a week and struggling to make top 4. Allegro's fans will blame Milan's management now for not giving him his experienced champions.

0 shots on target against a team like Sassuolo is embarrassing. You guys defended this tripe for 4 long years. I'm so glad he's not our problem anymore.

Now take the FIGC Azzurri post and finish them off too.

I think most people, even throaters, wanted him out after the Macabbi Haifa defeat.

if you have a friend or family who never watched football but was trying to get into the sport and watch it.

if you want them to give up after a single game....no a single half, make them watch allegri matches of last 7 seasons.

I think what he did to Pulisic and Leao alone deserves something special. Apart from Heysel and Hillsborough, perhaps the various air disasters, this is probably right behind there in one of the biggest sporting disasters in history. Of course this fucking retard is responsible for it.

Let’s be honest, this Milan squad is no better than what we are working with here and outside of a select few players many of them are clearly of questionable quality and not made for handling pressure at this level, but just as previously he’s been doing a fairly good job of getting the best out of them and ensuring Milan finish in Top 4 comfortably compared to others the same can be said now that he is clearly bottling it in spectacular fashion and has only himself and his outdated approach to blame if they do miss out on the UCL spots in this last rounds.

It's shocking that any serious club would still hire this man. Absolute clown.
No shocking events are happening at this point. Milan are not a serious team and JJ haven't been one post Covid. The only two joke clubs to go anywhere near him.

There will be a third one with FIGC Azzurri but they were finished a long time ago. Allegro will take the Italy job and set them back by another half a decade. Should be fun.

In retrospect, he inherited a team that had already won three consecutive Scudetti. To me the hard part which was building a cohesive squad and an almost perfect defensive system had already been done by Conte. Also at that time, we had one of the best defenses and midfields in the world filled with genuinely generational talent.

He always came across as a likable figure among the players and I have to be fair, he did an excellent job keeping the team competitive and pushing it forward for several years. But once the cracks began to show during his final two seasons, it became clear that his time as a relevant coach was coming to an end.

I felt that way then and I still believe it now.
