Look at it this way, we can still add an option to buy if we're happy with him.

If Newcastle really want him back then thats a different case, I get the impression they're open to selling him, but negotiating an option to buy in such a short space of time is more difficult that you can imagine.

Alternatively... There is always Osimhen next year...

I hope this works out but also wish there was some level of a buy option. Otherwise, we're just the storefront window shopping him to other clubs for Newcastle for next summer.

We can negotiate a buy option in the season should he perform. I dont think Newcastle would fully object to selling him. Adding a buy option this late in the window is quite time consuming and can either make or break a deal just as easily.

No club will give a buy option. It's such a dumb thing for them. But if this guy does well then at least you ave proof of concept and can go to Newcastle with money and not just be guessing. And of course if he likes it here then it's a help.

Then of course the book value is lower next year so they will ask less for the sale

if he does very well then the book value will mean nothing, they'll ask whatever they want

btw there's allegedly a gentlemen's agreement between the clubs that states that in case of an offer by any club jj will have the chance to match that offer. who are newcastle owners? do they also own a saudi club as well that might accidentally make a high offer?

i think that he's here for one season and we'll have to make the most out of it
