Juventus have confirmed that they will not add a controversial third star to their shirts for next season – but a new motto will be present.

The Old Lady were threatening to place another gold star on to their jerseys to highlight their belief that they have won 30 Scudetti.

The record books, however, because of the two stripped Calciopoli titles, illustrate that the Turin giants have officially won 28.

“The new Juventus shirt will not have the third star on it,” stated Juventus commercial director Francesco Calvo to Sky Sport Italia.

“Instead, under the club logo, will appear the words: ’30 vinti sul campo’ [30 won on the pitch],” he revealed.

“Our shirt represents Juventus and their people. Just the club along with all the fans can define our identity.”

Calvo also added that the outfit’s away strip next term will be all black. Juventus’ second jersey in 2011-12 was pink.

One gold star represents 10 Italian championships.

My Opinion:
I dont think that this is a matter of honor or having balls, but a matter of power. In the end, we need to remember that we are a team that is under the laws of an organization called FIGC. We work under their rules.... and it doesnt matter how much we whine or cry, we just cant go out and do whatever we want with our shirt because we feel so.

Again, of course im not saying that we do not deserve our third star because we clearly got robbed there, but sadly, we still are under their rules and their regime. Yeh, we can go and put our thrid star, but a war will ensue and in the end we will be the losers again because they will enforce whatever they please upon us, not to mention the pressure other teams will create on the matter. We have 2 choices after that: to accept that we cannot put the star, or to go on war with the FIGC and just dont play in the league....which is something that will never happen IMO.

Still, for the moment, i find it interesting that they are using that new motto on the jerseys...because is the least they could have done really. But sadly, i always knew that the 3rd star idea was going to be impossible if the federation really was against it. In the end, we cannot do as we please under their rules. And yes im aware that there is nothing written about the stars in the league laws etc etc... but just for the sake of order they would not let us do it.

Expected outcome, i m glad that we dropped the pink one for a full black!

I agree, it's not like we didn't want to do it, but those assholes would have to approve the shirt, and we all know they wouldn't.

I pretty much agree with everything you said, but its just annoying after hearing the tough talk by Marotta and Agnelli about 3 stars next season, also that new logo on our stadium and the flag in our front office in Turin. Looks a bit silly mow if we dont put the third star on our jersey.

It doesn't really matter; the fuckers are only delaying the inevitable. We are still going to place a 3'rd star before the Milano fuckers even get a sniff of their 2'nd. Moreover, we are going to hit 4 stars before they even get close to a whiff of their 3'rd

Cop out in terms of the star. But thinking about it now, having 30 sul campo by the badge is within the rules but also a nice little wind up to the FIGC and other cocksuckers.

Yeh, its marotta and andrea´s fault for making the fans hope without knowing their limits.. but still that quote on the shirt will look so nice under our emblem.

It will be like a big middle finger anyways.
