They getting quality upgrade players. But not sure it can count as good transfers, not because they played yet, but when the minimum they seem to pay is 80m for each.
I doubt they overpaid because each time we discussed those players it was similar amoints mentioned tbh. Still very high though

You expected someone to pay €99m for a guy that just got relegated to the Championship? He's a good player but that doesn't make it a good transfer by default. These are Paratici moves where you just pay the asking price because you have the money.

I don't agree that if you sign a player who improves your team it's a good transfer, regardless of cost. We could pay 150m for Osimhen and it'd be a good transfer on the playing side, but poor market value.

108m for Tonali, 99m for Mateus Fernandes and especially Van Hecke for 65m (quality wise is a 30m player) are all crazy prices tho.

The EPL tax sure, but non of them are even English to justify the insane scarcity with the inflated prices.

Tonali is is very good player but not a superstar midfielder. Fernandes is a good young talent who's last 2 seasons he RELEGATED twice in EPL. What kind of negotiations leads to 99m for him?

Even for EPL this is insane. Its not like Spurs are oil money like City or billionaire hedge fund like Chelsea.

Like Jay said, if they dont get CL after spending like this it will be massive failure, and in couple years they will have major issues with PSR.

Mastantuono on loan to Viola. They are really cooking.

Meanwhile we signed a Bosnian who never played for Leverkusen giving them 30M in profit.
One is an investment, the other is basically helping another team enhance their investment. and yet the former was a regular for RB Leipzig unlike Mastantuono for Madrid.

18 year old with 13 goals 4 assists last season for a decent German side, 30 mill sounds like an absolute steal given the current market.
