Hopefully the one person who goes down because of this is Mancini. What a cool story that would be.
There’s no one better than him available, at least not among the Italian options. The alternative would probably be Allegri or Gasperini

So when is this pathetic, spineless UK government going to take this case seriously that City has committed tax evasion. Ah never mind, just tax the rest of us to fund their pathetic airy fairy schemes and illegal immigrants. Can't wait to see these cunts get voted out.

Just take Spalletti back.

I like what Carragher said about the owners. A ban from football and forcing them to sell like Chelsea should be a key part of the punishment. Criminal charges for those actually engaging in accounting fraud. This directly targets those responsible, and is right.

Additional to that, a big fine, compensation for affected teams, 1-2 titles revoked, transfer ban, and a meaningful points deduction should be sufficient.

This is accountability for those directly responsible, reparations for those affected and penalizes the institution as a whole without breaking it or breaking the league.

People say the punishment must deter other clubs from doing the same, the perception can’t be cheating was worth the risk. This achieves that by directly punishing owners, and execs who will think twice before they do something like this because their ass is on the line as individuals not just the corporation they currently work for

All the money in the world and these dumb fuckers got phished. Could they not allocate 0.001% of their budget to some basic IT security and training?

@Siamak
Two points. First, this is a spear phishing attack using an impersonation technique of the brand impersonation type. This means the user didn’t check at all whether the email was legitimate; apparently, they had no training whatsoever, which shows that even in reputable European companies and Western countries this weakness exists and they don’t have a skilled, trained workforce even when it comes to handling email.
Second, there was a lack of controls such as SPF/DKIM/DMARC, sandboxing in the email service, or a security appliance. In the places where I worked, either the email server itself had these capabilities and would mark and reject such emails as spam, or on a firewall like FortiGate we used features such as anti-spam and anti-phishing and blocked traffic from email domains and IP addresses.

Europe really needs real engineers. If Manchester City had hired me, this wouldn’t have happened to them now. It’s simple with real high-level engineers, their systems would never have such a basic security weakness.

a few more iof these and we'll have to ask ourselves whether pl is a giant money laundering scheme

Actually now that i think about it, the same thing has happened to Jj but none of the Juve media seems to have realized/are paying attention lmao

Zondacrypto was Jj's "crypto sponsor" and "sleeve sponsor" and collapsed earlier this year.

"Zondacrypto collapsed after customers couldn’t withdraw their money. Its CEO claimed roughly 4,500 Bitcoin were locked in a wallet whose keys were held by the founder, who disappeared in 2022. The entire supervisory board resigned, and prosecutors opened a fraud investigation. Estimated investor losses were at least €81 million."

@.zero more great due diligence by Juventus :howler:

They operated legally in Poland so not sure how was it supposedly Juventus job to examine their operations. What's more, Zonda also sponsored Polish Olympic Committee. Also, the founder didn't disappear but fled to the country located in Palestine.

What do you mean not Juventus' job to examine their operations? They accepted money as sponsorship and put their logo on the shirt lmao. The company was a fraud and stole customer funds.

And how Juve was supposed to know it's a scam if the company managed to operate legally in Poland under the supervision of the state regulator ?

If you go to another civilized country do you examine the tap water quality yourself before drinking it or do you rather assume it must be fine as there are bodies responsible for making sure it's fine?

Drinking tap water makes you a consumer. Accepting money to promote a financial platform makes you a paid commercial partner lending it credibility. Not the same thing, anyways after looking it up Jj ended the partnership in 2025 apparently so they probably caught wind of it. Zonda was always sketchy to me

In a few years time, hopefully Inda's sham contracts and money laundering deals are exposed dating back to Zhang era

Inda have committed worse offences than City in this regard.
