Spuds is suck and inconsistent. In most of their matches they leaked goals left and right. Randy might never liked the club at all, hence he never performed there. Compared when with us he enjoy his life here. Like Alin said, it is an opportunity for us to bring him here when he has a nightmare season to lower the price.

randy was good for jj. whether it's psg's or jj's fault is not important, randy going to spurs on a dry loan instead of a loan+option to jj, and jj signing openda proved to be a failure for everyone involved

He was good first 4 matches, after that he was bad for jj. Just cause Openda turned out worse doesn't mean Mauni should be signed.

8g1a in 1164 minutes, one goal or assist every 129 minutes
for comparison, yildiz this season: 10g6a in 2548 minutes, 1 g or a every 160 minutes

i think that randy was good for us. not great, but certainly more effective than our current cf options and it's not even close. we should have kept him instead of paying a fortune for openda, i don't think it's even debatable

Not like we have that many better alternatives lined up, at least not ones that we might potentially afford… in fact considering Kolo’s form this season i think he made himself financially feasible for us and might now be our best chance to finally buy him outright, this time for only half of what PSG was asking last summer.
Well, there will always be options in a long summer. No need to start panicking just yet. But we need at least one new striker by the time the window opens, 'cause we'll be looking to sell (or not extend) at least 2 of them, maybe even 3.

If Lewa and co. aren't done, I'm all for getting Randyman in... if the price is right.

Why not just go for both then… especially with at least two between Openda, Vlahovic and David likely to leave in the summer.

*Both as in Lewa and Kolo.

Yeah I don’t care how someone does at another club- only their performance at Juve matters as far as I’m concerned.
imagine, we get kolo back

then someway somehow, we make miracle CL final (no locatelli in the team, he retires or gets solded), then we meet Mbappe's Madrid in finals.

Kolo puts up 4 goals, Mbappe 3. Final score 4-3 for us. Kolo denies Mbappe a CL trophy. He'll forever be Mbappe's source of nightmares, between that hopeful CL final and the last WC's finals fumble.

Because we still want to extend Vlahovic. And we're not in a position the be spending big on what would be 3 starting caliber strikers in our current situation.

Even if Vlahovic accepts a big pay cut, the other two won't come cheap and they'd all be demanding a big role.

I'd say it would be wiser for us to spend in other positions of need and get a cheaper back-up (unless Spalletti intends to start 2 strikers sometimes).

Guys like Boga and Holm on a cheap deal are perfect examples of what we could and should do for our backups... Almost for free but still an added value.

But as things stand we have 4 ST’s on our payroll now, three of which on starting caliber wages.

Also i’d much rather try for Kolo Muani instead of renewing Vlahovic… but maybe that’s just me. Or at least i’d rather him instead of any between Openda and David too,

Anyway, i guess a lot will depend on who stays and who leaves before we can make any real moves.

Yeah me too. We're lowballing Vlahovic right now which is fine by me.

Openda and David are most likely as good as gone.

replacing Openda for Kolo is definitively a necessary change. Openda didnt find the cohesion here and its for his and our best to go separate ways.
Kolo also had a negative year with that Spurs move and he can easily restart here again. Win Win for all parties involved.
Extending Vlahovic on Yildiz numbers would be really good deal too, cause with Kolo / David and Vlahovic Spalletti would have a bunch of options to choose.

Good not great. Would rather spend the money on an ageing Lewandowski
Tbh i’d rather try for both if there is a chance to offload at least two of our current duds and reshuffle the ST line completely.

I mean when thinking about it could be quite feasible if we sell at least one(maybe even both hopefully) between Openda and David along with not renewing Vlahovic either.

⚠️ #LiverpoolFC has entered the race for Randal Kolo Muani, forcing #Juventus into an urgent "Reds Alert" situation. Although Luciano Spalletti wants the striker to lead his new project, the financial power of the Premier League makes the deal difficult. CEO Damien Comolli is now working on strategic countermoves and a potential discount to ensure Randal Kolo Muani chooses the #Bianconeri over a move to Anfield.

Imo we do need a striker but Kolo is not good enough. If we can get Lewandowski I wouldn't want us to chase after Kolo whether we decide to sign another forward or not. Would rather just stick with David as the backup and spend the money elsewhere.

Agreed.

We seemed obsessed with this guy as a management and organization. Meanwhile, he's on his third club (ours included) where he hasn't scored very well except for brief very hot streaks. I know we all remember hot he started but few mention how fucking COLD he got soon after. And we're supposedly interested in him for +30m? Kill me.

He scored 5 of his goals in his first three appearances. And they were great goals, great times. He was David levels of a striker basically from there after.

6/8 goals came against 14th, 15th, 19th, or 20th ranked Serie A clubs btw.
