Agreed.

We seemed obsessed with this guy as a management and organization. Meanwhile, he's on his third club (ours included) where he hasn't scored very well except for brief very hot streaks. I know we all remember hot he started but few mention how fucking COLD he got soon after. And we're supposedly interested in him for +30m? Kill me.

He scored 5 of his goals in his first three appearances. And they were great goals, great times. He was David levels of a striker basically from there after.

6/8 goals came against 14th, 15th, 19th, or 20th ranked Serie A clubs btw.
Thing is there is more to his game than just goals altough i agree with your general assessment, obivously he isn’t prolific enough and has struggled the last few seasons aside from his positive spell with us… but otherwise he is a good carrier of the ball and technical enough to create for others too, along with having the pace to be a menace for opponents on counters.

Having him and Lewa together i feel would give us more options because we would be able to completely change style from a slow but physical target man that keeps CB’s busy to a pacy countering style if we use them interchangeably depending on who we play against, along with them likely even being able to play together in certain formations which is not the same i could say about David and Lewa potentially functioning together.

In my opinion Kolo Muani for anywhere between €25-30M is a gamble worth taking.

I'd rather Lewa on a one year deal than RKM. And I'd rather we not get him. But we'll see.

I guess it remains to be seen but must be said that we will likely go for two ST’s this summer mercatto if the plan is to indeed also offload at least two of the current ones, and i don’t think we have that many reliable options to pick from so hopefully we manage to find and secure the best possible ST’s that we can afford in our current state of affairs.
