This is the ultimate lack of imagination move though. I think we first got him two SDs ago, he played well his first two games and then became lukewarm. Since then he's been room temperature. 5 goals in 41 apps for Spurs. All the while somebody at the club is obsessed with signing him.
Hes desperate to come back because he knows that it'll be a nice wee easy gig for him. PSG will call him out and expect more. If he goes to another Spurs he'll have the pressure of scoring to keep the team from relegation.
He wants to come to us, score a few goals, not try very hard, finish somewhere in the top quarter of the league table and never really put in effort or win very much.
We are insane if this is our big signing. 100% would rather just re-sign Dusan Vlahovic. Despite injuries he will score more than this guy.
