is it our choice though

we shouldn't match their 30+ offer regardless of randy, he's not a 30m goalie

either get carnesecchi for a bit more or caprile for a lot less. (marotta did very well to sing provedel, ideal signing for them unfortunately...)
Yes Marotta did a very great work with Provedel. He was Serie A best GK in 2022-2023 with 21 Clean Sheets and still maintained high save percentage and goal prevention until last season. He is their back up plan if J. Martinez cant live the expectation replacing Sommer.
I actually like the idea of loaning Chevalier if Emi/Carnesecchi not come. He was a top GK with Lille but if he come with high salary and we still have Perin/Digre, we would waste salary budget for GK

I am not saying that we would get him, just putting Kolo's deal into perspective. On wages, sure, but he's 3 times the player Kolo is.
and on wages which go way above our highest paid player, there for unaffordable for us.

It's like saying I can get a Ferrari for a similar price as a Skoda, but the Ferrari is better car, not realising the insurance, cost to service it and road tax is way more than the Skoda.

Galatasaray want £65m for Osimhen, that's €75m. Salary is about €28m with his image rights. That's €215m over a 5 year contract.

Muani by comparison is about €115m maximum over 5 years, if we are talking about perspective. We aren't in the market for players that are going to cost us over 40m per year, at this point in time.

At least he really wanted to be here which probably swayed the club's decision in going all out for him

Retarded deal financially but Kolo is under huge pressure to deliver now

Guys like Yildiz really need to step up as well. Can't rely on Kolo alone to score the goals. He's not the most clinical striker around but as mentioned, hopefully his all round play can help create space for others to step up and do the scoring as well.

Sounds about right but tbh i don’t think it’s even that as much as it is the clause inserted by ADL about not selling to Juve/Serie A clubs for the first few years or something of the sorts.

If Osimhen was available to us for that transfer fee this summer i doubt we wouldn’t have at least tried for someone that is as proven and also as willing to join us, with the player likely being open to lowering his demands to maybe half of what he is earning atm as well, but i’d say the move just wasn’t possible and that’s why there weren’t even rumors anymore, unlike what happened before he left Napoli and ADL refused to sell to us.
