If we had brought Dibu and Kessie, easily 8 or 9.
Fact that we didn't and actually still got alot of dead wood at the club or loaned out with no obligations to buy makes me feel all we've done is kick the can down the road a bit more.
Alajbegovic I actually rate, but I always felt I didn't want us to buy him at the expense of neglecting other much needed positions.
Unfortunately Ekhator just looks like a waste of money already....
Celik I've always like as a free player, Lucumi fits with what Spalletti wants in defence.
But Woltemade... Phoarrrrr Fuck yes, would be easy for me to give a high score just for him alone.

8.5 for me, but I'm also positive. We did improve numbers on many positions that's for sure.
Defence is much stronger than last season.
Attack has many options and better players for sure, though Yildiz injury is worrying.
Midfield has only increased in numbers and we are actually gambling on Luiz or Sarr to step up.
A pity we didnt buy someone for LB, because Cambiaso is a little bitch.

Most of our signings were never first priority picks. We only signed them because we couldn't get our first or second choices. Right now I'm suggesting 7/10 because I think they are upgrades over the outgoing players but not enough of a quality leap to see us as immediate title contenders or even guarantees for a top 4. Hope I'm proven wrong.
This being labelled as one of the better mercatos in a while says more about the recent history than anything else but okay...
Negatives are obviously not majorly upgrading midfield (especially attacking midfield), not getting a new LB and not getting a truly reliable goalscorer.
Then ofc missing out on some major targets like Kessié & Dibu (Bernardo Silva & Alisson happened under Comolli) and with those also missing out on upgrading our experience and winning mentality.
So the mercato was far from smooth but that's almost a given in our situation (sporting-wise, financially and mangerially unstable) with once more a few managerial changes...
We still added some quality and quantity to the team and managed to fill in most of the blanks. Plus letting go of that Vlahovic turd was a victory in itself. Woltemade and Alajbegovic are some exciting names, so let's see how they fare in our jersey and I think Lucumi will help us a lot.
From the incoming names Ekhator is the weird duck in the row... And in the non-outgoing Koopmeiners, Rugani and Cabal spring to mind.

New goalkeeper: In the end, they’re bringing in the last option on the list—regardless of the fact that Vicario has managed to regain his form and has put in a couple of good performances recently. 6 out of 10.
New Striker: Ekhator its a failure also WAY too much money was spent on Kolo Muani, and in the end, Woltemade was brought in only on loan. however, in compared to what we had, That’s more than enough. 8 out of 10.
New left-back: None were brought in; we’re sticking with Cabal and Cambiaso. 0 out of 10.
Midfield: They ended up bringing in Pape Sarr; in a very good deal, he looks like a good player, but he lacks Kessie's leadership. They failed to offload Koop, and with Thuram’s injury, we’re stretched thin. 7 out of 10.
Experience and Leadership: Zero. None of the players signed possess leadership qualities or experience; in fact, with Perin's departure, we are actually left with fewer leaders in the dressing room—something that could come back to haunt us during difficult moments. 0 out of 10.
Sales: There were no outright sales, only loans with an option to buy, leaving us entirely dependent on the players performing well and the clubs deciding to purchase them. While it is understood that offloading the players in question was a difficult task due to their poor form, failing to secure at least a mandatory purchase clause in cases like Miretti or David is a major blunder. Now, we can only hope for the best. 5 out of 10.
It’s a positive that players like Lucumi, Wolteman, Celik, and Alajbegović have been brought in.
Also, Nico González staying could really help us.

- Two new keepers, Vicario already looking like a solid upgrade, comparatively.
- Defense is improved and we now have options in case of injuries.
- Underwhelming but Sarr could be good and Luiz looks much improved.
- Attack is better since we have a number of options and players with different qualities.
So far, we're creating a lot more chances than normal. We've been able to score despite Muani and David. I don't think we'll trash teams like Roma are, but we should be able to convert last year's draws to wins now.

I'll say an 8. We look to have (so far) provided reinforcements, and honestly even improvements in almost every area of the pitch at a low cost. As for the sales, I think we saw the best of what was realistically possible. At the rate he's going, Openda will have a buyer next summer so I think we'll get something there. Aside from that, we're going to be stuck with these guys for the duration of their contracts most likely.
The negatives are we overpaid wildly for an (so far) ineffective Kolo Muani and (so far) don't have many permanent solutions. Overall, I think we're better off when compared to last season and I expect a top 4 finish. Hopefully injures don't fuck up more than they already have.

From my side they get an 8. I mean they deserved 10 but because of the whole UEFA parameters and restriction plus the loans not getting a single sale but tbh it wasnt their fault also or not fully their fault.

Also not gettign the buy option for Wolemade is making me a little angry because if he performs and they ask for 80 mil we wont sign him but Bayern will and we just raised his form...I hate it...but also I read they had no time to that, we even saw that the simply loan was done the last half an hour with the signing of the contract.
So we lost Vlahovic for free. Sure, we saved 42.7M supposedly. However, we replaced him with 21.1M Kolo Muani, along with his 50M transfer fee. So in my mind, that's about a -30M loss for JJ.
The fact he's still playing games and starting for us is a crime against football.
