I would give this mercato an 8/10. We had some problems with selling players, but fuck it, we needed some new players and we got them.

I really liked Juventus last season and I think we were not that far from being at the top of the table. In the end what happened happened, but now I think we had a very good mercato, especially because we got more or less the players that the coach asked for.
In defence we got John Lucumi, who I think will give us much more security at the back, and also Celik who looks good from what we have seen in the first games.

In midfield we didn't change too much. I don't really know what to expect from Sarr, but with the new system I think the two midfielders behind will be used more for defensive work and simple passes. And we also have Luiz, who can basically be like a new signing for us this season.

Attack is where we changed more. We have Kolo Muani who I really like, and now Woltemade who is the type of striker Spalletti wanted. Good with his feet, good with his back to the goal, he doesn't score a lot but I think he can be very useful for the team. And from the bench we still have options like Alajbegovic, Boga, Nico etc.
I can actually see Kolo Muani and Woltemade both starting together.
Considering we don't have CHL this year and we were very tight with FFP, I see this mercato as very positive. And honestly I don't think we are that far behind the other teams.
I definitely expect us to fight for the Scudetto. We have a lot of players, we have quality and we don't have CHL, so we can focus much more on Serie A.
For me we have to fight for the Scudetto this season.

We have upgraded the defence. Celik and Lucumi are good signings and improve the starting 11. We should have added a LB though.

Midfield feels weaker. You can already see how the Thuram situation will play out. Out for ages and stop start after that. Not having him available and for some reason I think Locatelli will have a worse season than last year. I don't know Sarr so can't comment but he looks useful.

Attack is improved. There are question marks on Kolo but I like him. He's a useful player even if I doubt he will get 20+ goals. It 50m when there is no competition is too much. Woltermade should be good but we need to play to his strengths. I like Alajbegovic but he is a project.

Goalkeeper has improved. But anyone other than Di Greg would be an improvement and it feels like we are taking a gamble with both keepers. Vicario's save at the weekend is encouraging.

On the sale side it was a mess. Weah was our biggest sale which is ridiculous. The squad is bloated and far too much deadwood. To not get fees and do cheap loans with no obligations is really poor.

Far too much time wasted on the keeper, Kolo and midfield.

Overall I think we have improved, but would have liked a bigger step up. Most of the new players seem to need to play a certain way, so it is up to Spalletti to use them properly.

That was closer to my initial feeling about it too but i gave it an added bonus point primarily for just not selling any of Bremer, Yildiz, Conceicao, Thuram, Kalulu which i really felt were the main ones worth keeping out of this squad and after missing out on UCL many rumors were suggesting we’ll try to sell a couple of those to balance the books… although in hindsight now it’s obviously not looking very promising with neither Yildiz or Thuram.

Then also tbh i lowkey preferred/wanted to keep for depth both Douglas Luiz and Nico Gonzalez too(instead of just loaning them out again) in place of Zeghrova and Miretti(or Koop if he were to leave), which sort of added the extra 0.5 point in my book to sum it up to 6.5 overall, otherwise as i previously stated i basically completely agree almost to the last details with all the points made in your 5 overall rating.

some money collected from muharemovic and next gen sales

the meh:
neither of the new goalies are convincing signings (although vicario started well, no complaints so far, even if the opponents weren't strong)
we couldn't promote next gen players

the ugly:
our midfield, have anyone checked it? weak af. even if sarr is a slight upgrade over thuram, it's not a juventus worthy midfield at all. locatelli is still a starter in this squad, tells everything about the overall quality
purchasing ekhator is simply inexplicable. juventus shouldn't help out genoa, when will this club stop this practice?
i do like randy but that transfer fee?! it's retarded to put so much pressure on any player, the club set him up to flop
way too many deadwood left. milik, rugani have no place here in 2026, cabal was supposed to get fired after he sabotaged the galatasaray game, and both zhegrova and gatti should have left
weah is our only sale, right? or did we sell perin too for 3-500k? most of the deadwood will be back next summer
no left back signing. even if zelik can play there, that's still a weak point
and the biggest issue: still no leadership in the locker (and it's even worse with perin gone). locatelli still capitano

tl;rd: many things changed, there might be some improvements here and there, but the core of the team didn't get stronger. this is still an underwhelming banter era squad. i want to be wrong of course but i expect yet another ~70 point season ahead

i could rate this anywhere between 2 and 5

we'll see how the season pans out. so far we're missing yildiz, no thuram either, kolo muani looks like a lost man, so the only positive is vicario (who would have thought) and the two - both lucky - clean sheets against two relegation battlers. we lost way too many points against these teams last season. but we also started with two wins - and beat inda 4-3 in the 3rd round before shit started to hit the fan. we'll see

Even Moggi came out and stated we've improved.

We lost a guy who was constantly injured and on high wages.
We didnt really sell anyone - of course we have improved.
K.M, Lucumi, Celik, Alajbegovic all good players on paper.
We technically lost Thuram but got D.L who seems like a good fit for now.
P.M.S I honestly dont know him but I do like the fact Pogba is an ispiration for him since we need that type.
Waltermade - Watched a few youtubes - He looks like a Temu young Ibrahimovic.
