Chiellini has had years to fix this as captain and in management and here we are.
I don't want to hear about anything that guys says, and in fact what he said that day wasn't "captainly" whatsoever.

Calma bro, after all he only got here midway last season and probably hasn’t had any major decisional powers other than giving his opinion on what’s presented to him, we’ve been deep into this shit since way longer than this… you are directing your anger the wrong way, i can fault him a bit for maybe cuddling Locatelli and Spalletti to some extent but who really knows even, in fact it looks like only now he is actually trying to get more involved in the decision making after all this recent failures…
Either way there’s several others that are much bigger problems and need to be shipped off way before we consider sacking Chiellini who is literally the only real football figure we have next to all this corporate morons.
