One interesting stat: this season we’ve dropped 6 points from winning positions (draws vs Verona, Fiorentina and Sassuolo). That’s our lowest number since the 2015-16 season.

Of course there are still 5 games to go and we could end up dropping more points from winning positions, but this is still very encouraging to see.

Glad we didn’t fumble this golden opportunity and took all the points, in fully deserved fashion nonetheless.

I almost got used to expect the exact opposite tbh, this time instead we showed the right mentality to go out there for the win from the get go and were mature enough to see it through, even with all our flaws and inevitable brainfarts we’ve still been in total control despite Bologna themselves having had a couple of counters that could have hurt us too, but all in all we probably should/could have scored a few more ourselves as well if we just were more clinical.

We are wayyy wayy to long playing struggling game against these kind of middle level clubs

Now we can see that we start to play to our strength. The intention and the intensity

If our players are more decisive, this should be 4-0 or more

i don't remember checking the table regularly in the last few weeks. nice to see us building a gap ahead of como and roma

for jj every game is a banana peel, so we have to be careful for the rest of the schedule:

5 games, 11 points needed if como wins all of their matches (only 10 if como drop points and roma won't). verona is the only easy game on paper, isn't it. but even for that game, we need the same concentration we showed since the sassuolo game

By the rate Milan and Napoli been dropping points lately
(nevermind Como or Roma) i think we might be able to do it with even lesser points if just a few more of their results go our way… as things stand and taking into account the number of points you mentioned as being required i’d say we have a realistic shot to even finish 3rd at that rate, more so if we don’t lose the direct clash with Milan.
